I too really wanted a new single this week, but at the same time I'm glad they didn't release anything before the festival. If they had released a single earlier this week or today even, then we would know that we would hear that tonight. Although it would still be exciting to hear it live for the first time, I think it's more exciting that we are going into tonight having no clue what to expect or what a new song will sound like. Literally, we don't know anything. Aside from the obvious hits they will play, we know nothing. What are they going to wear? What will the stage set up look like? How will the instruments look? There are so many questions that will be answered in just 2 hours. Also Coldplay haven't said a damn thing, which I also think makes it even better. They want to surprise us, and I think it's going to be awesome.

I would like to see that. Last time they played it there was in 2011 I think. So its had some rest. I think we will definitely get ASFOS Paradise or ETIAW Clocks VLV and then a new song hopefully. Ideally, I want them to play the new one last with Chris announcing that it's from their new album and will be available to download on Monday. If only! Edit: that wasn't in any particular order, besides the new song being last.

It's awesome. I love the ending with the oooh oooh's. Someone on the forum (forgive me, I forget who) made a studio version of the Twisted Logic Tour live version of The Scientist, where the song goes into reverse at the end. It sounds so great.

I'm pretty sure they did do The Scientist video backwards. Chris had to learn the lyrics backwards so they could do it.

Great points everyone. I'm getting worried also. So I'm gonna try to be mentally prepared for nothing, so I can just enjoy the performance without being disappointed. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised.

I just thought about that yesterday. I was like WTF? It is a random song to have. I figured ASFOS would have been there being the most recent hit. Also, no interview from them yet either. I feel like they really want to keep things low profile until the actual performance. I'm sure most people who know Coldplay, but don't follow as closely as we do, will be wondering "What has Coldplay released recently? Why are they here?". This could really be the calm before the storm. Definitely gonna be watching Twitter and the forums all day tomorrow. Either way, Coldplay performance in less than 24 hours! Been waiting months for this!

I get what your saying. Some people just prefer to hear a natural snare rather that some electronic one. GS really was a one off thing. MX was electronic in some ways, but all of GS was that. Which makes sense. That's just the way it sounds best. To be honest I can't picture Magic with a natural sounding snare. I have seen covers with acoustic kits, and it just doesn't sound as good (to me). Same thing with Ink. I think they sound perfect the way they are. We all know Coldplay go through a very intense creative process with songs. The way they are released are the way the band want them to sound and how they think they sound best. Nothing wrong with that [emoji14] . Anyway, in short, you are absolutely right.
