Also, don't want to get anyone excited, but iHeartRadio has a huge announcement tomorrow at 9am. I am in no way saying this is related to Coldplay, and I don't think it is myself, but just wanted to point that out. I think it's most likely another act for the festival, but you never know seeing the festival is Coldplay's first appearance and possibly the first show of the new era.

I remember seeing graffiti on the wall and on instruments in the Game of Thrones skit. I personally think its just unused artwork from Paris that the band left up. But I love lennyrott1's idea of combining elements from all albums. That would be awesome. Would also be cool to see a mix of sound and styles from previous albums with some new twists thrown in for the sound of the album.

As far as I know, the date was already confirmed. I saw it on the iHeartRadio site a few days back.

I personally think if we get nothing this coming week, then they will just debut the song at the festival. I think that might happen anyway. Either way, we should get to hear something new in just 2 weeks!

Great! I could use a hat eating buddy. I personally think it will just be one but possibly 2. Hopefully no more than 2. I believe they did 5 songs last year. Clocks, Viva, Paradise, Ink, and ASFOS. So I think 2 new songs would be a good balance.

I'm sorry, but there is no way they just play older stuff. Will they play some hits? Yes. Expect Viva, Paradise, or Clocks and possibly ASFOS. Although they just played some of those last year at the festival. I really don't think they are doing this festival just for the hell of it. Why bother playing if there is nothing new? I get they might want to warm up and I won't complain if they don't end up playing anything new, but this kinda festival screams new. Its a big festival, I think most acts have new music, so why not Coldplay? I won't complain if we don't hear any new material, but I will truly be surprised. They will play at least one new song, and if I am wrong I promise you guys, I will eat my hat. [emoji51]

Agreed. I don't mind one or two new songs, but I don't want half an album months before release.

Yeah it's definitely Chris. I don't mind the distortion as much with songs like this. And to be fair, this is a live track from a festival, not the studio version. You can hear people talking in the beginning and a bit throughout. The studio version will sound a lot clearer.

So there are some points where Chris' voice sounds a bit too deep, but overall I think it sounds more natural. I recommend listening to the transposed version a few times, and then go back to the original to see the difference. You can really hear it. I just transposed it down a semitone and it sounds a lot better imo. Sounds a lot more like Chris to me.

So just looked at the date of that video. It was posted in April along with a lot of other ones as well. How did no one catch this before now? Also, it's good, but I feel like his voice is pitched too high and I still like Heaven better. Wish he kept his vocals on that one.

I just tried to get it and the only one available is the Dr. Dre and Ice Cub issue and it says August 27. I do not see the new one on the Google Play store. Maybe someone else will have luck?

That's exactly my thinking. Even though the festivals are close, I feel it's still a bit early for a new song. The closer to the festivals we get, the higher the chances of a new song being released (obviously). It just feels right that they would release it within 2 to 3 weeks, 4 max, from the festival so it still feels new and fresh.
