  1. Yeah there's plenty there, you'll even find more if you search Chris' name.. But you have to go by the numbers to figure which are the newest. I don't see any there that I hadn't seen before though. We must find the other source!!!!
  2. Yeah, I remember that! That's precisely why I was asking..
  3. I've asked this before.. But before any release, wouldn't the song need to be registered on ASCAP first? Also how long does the process take, wondering if they can say register it the same day they release it?
  4. Viva la Vida started this in my opinion.. "Life in Technicolor, 42, Lovers in Japan, Viva la Vida, Violet Hill, Strawberry Swing" ok basically all but Lost were curiosity sparking titles.
  5. Also hope that they have a new opening song!! Well I'm sure they will, but I mean that it is one of the new ones we hear at these shows.
  6. Why not just listen to Avicii then.. Coldplays contribution to ASFOS isn't enough to make the song stand out from other Avicii songs anyways..
  7. Hmmm good point... Think the answer is no, especially with GS. Thought I'd absolutely love GS album after hearing Midnight, and then the rest of the album was kinda disappointing and nothing like Midnight.
  8. Is this true "most of the foursome are dissatisfied with the sounds they released.", where did that come from? If anything I remember Chris saying he was very proud of GS many times... Regardless, I'm not the biggest GS fan, so I'd be more than happy if this was true.
  9. Great way to put it. Funny, hadn't occurred to me until I read your post there, that the band probably focuses on making an easy catchy song FOR the movie more than for themselves..
  10. Yup, Miracles is just ok. Lacks reasons to hear it again and again. Not sure how to explain it other than it's too easy to grasp? A lot of Viva had interesting things that took more listens to figure out everywhere, from start to finish.. From odd time signatures, to great guitar layers, to cool drum parts, great bass lines.. I guess my impression of Viva is it really showcased creativity from all of the band, not just a hook melody like Miracles..
  11. Yeah that makes sense. Only 8 have been truly mixed and all.. Cause Chris is a writing powerhouse, it's easy to understand a band taking long when they have limited time to work on the stuff, but Coldplay basically/kinda do music every day.. I've also always wanted to hear a Coldplay songs' history, especially ones they say had many versions, like Viva, or Charlie Brown.. Also hoping it's way more than 9 songs, with all the material they have, they could go Arcade Fire (who they admire so much) on it and release 14 :P
  12. Only 8 songs finished?!... Wish I understood what takes so long, feels like they would have over 50 songs finished by now.. And the real delay is only deciding which to share..
  13. Why by the end of this week? They said mid to late August no?
  14. Would the first sign of solid news be them registering songs on ASCAP? Cause they wouldn't release a song without it being registered right?.. Also wonder how long they take from registering to releasing..
  15. Wait, isn't the singer of Apparatjik Jonas the singer of Mew? That sounds more like his voice than Guys..
  16. Here goes, mines probably gonna be very different, as I really fell in love with CP because of the Viva album.. 1. Viva 2. Mylo 3. X&Y 4. A Rush 5. Parachutes 6. GS
  17. What a weird tease, cause the announcement could have been made once they had a confirmed date... Ahhh, what are they waiting for, give us some real news/updates on the progress of AHFOD. Thought we'd be seeing a lot of those handwritten posts since they released the timeline.. Though that's an amazingly cool prize for this one Coldplay fan.
  18. Oh yeah I forgot that one too... Guess it isn't so memorable after all..
  19. Yeah I say they play the usuals.. here's my setlist guess... Yellow Clocks The Scientist Paradise Every Teardrop Magic Viva Fix You
  20. Yeah just saw that, damn it!! Such an emotional rollercoaster in such short time.. Now I really have no idea, guess they'll just play the hits. :/
  21. I'd say we'll at least get to hear one song before they play Global Citizen.. If not, maybe they'll release the single right after playing it on their set.. But hopefully they aren't looking to play songs live to go back and edit what they feel needs to be changed in the studio later, that means more delays, like MX, they played new songs many months before we got to hear them recorded..
