Wowowowowowow This blew me away! On the very few seconds of hearing, how can their songs reach me so immediately, it's unfair how great they are. Damn I hope LP5 is done soon, Chris did tell Q magazine they had it down to about 15 songs... Which they should just keep!

Im sure whatever they do will amaze me. I have a feeling we'll hear more complex beats & clever rhythms mixed & the songs could have a more acoustic feel. What I would love is a double album, with a full instrumentation A side & all songs played acoustic on the B-side!

Are you guys on about Florence from Florence & the machine? If so Im sorry but her music does not reach me at all. Don't mean to offend anyone but her songs are just avg to me. And I think I can't judge by the names. The way Chris has described the songs has me very curious..

Lol, but very well said, no jigga man is needed this time around. Its awesome to b hearing this many news appear. When was this interview done? It sounds like the album still isn't ready if they are still looking for people to collaborate with them.

Just thought about this.. This song most likely has the "new" sound or style (idk how to call it).. So we'll immediately know how far they have drifted from their previous works, and might have a better idea of what the new album will sound like!? Kinda.. Reminds me of hearing Violet Hill for the first time and pondering on how different that song sounded!

Hmm maybe they were going over the new album's tracklist, and then they realized "Christmas Lights" didn't quite fit with the concept, but instead of tossing it, they realized it would be a nice giveaway?

Damn! This is a fantastic day! I love the times when new Coldplay news just start popping everywhere, but "Christmas Lights" next week!? Totally didn't see that coming. And "The countdown" has begun" makes it sound like there's more to this release than just the song. As if everything is all set to go.. Kinda have a feeling they'll start putting single songs out for a while.. And then hit us with the actual album?! Which will not contain any of the singles, but just a bunch of new music!! Damn this is too too too exciting!

"Mucho Coldplay" because they admire Arcade Fire so much, they have also decided to put out a super long album! (Except way better than Arcade fire's though) :D

Man i dont know if waiting around for months and heating the single over and over excites me. Its almost torture having to wait so long... Then again been waiting a long time for new Coldplay. Just wish Roadie had remained truer to his words on updating us all.. and not just about the tea drinking :P But through it all theres only been one super short clip of them recording? Kinda lame, when they've been at it for months!! Anyways cant wait for the new music!!

Damn, thats quite a praise, but an album with Linking Park, Kanye and Coldplay? I think thats too many people to ever agree on something, but it sure would be interesting. Brian Eno would kill himself having to put up with them all though haha

Been looking forward to it since yesterday! Think its a fantastic bold move if they debut new material LIVE! And then only hours later someone will post it on youtube to listen/watch over and over again, and a little later, someone will rip the audio! Instant single on our hands :D *Fingers crossed it's true. But if they are going as far as coming up with costumes and all for this next album, damn that's a lot of things they suddenly have figured out to be ready in a month.

Haha, let jonny look however he looks while he comes up with his genius guitars! :P And hearing that 3 of the 5 said "Almost done" it must mean they have done some great progress... This was so much more exiting than the last Roadie tea blog.
