OMFGYESH Coldplay was all over the German TV during that time, it was amazing. Interviews, Music video marathons, live concerts, EVERYTHING. And the newspaper, don't get me started on the newspapers! :laugh3: It was hard not to get Coldplay shoved in your face on a daily basis back then :wacko: I think it was so fantastic because the album had so many life-approving songs, and everybody that listened to the single Viva La Vida just went nuts :lol: I mean, the song IS good, no matter how many people think it's stolen or whatever. And the live shows... it was so great! Of course, the MX tour was kind of the same in terms of colours/epicness, but VIVA was, as MosesTheMarshmallow already said: First of all the funny stage costumes, the whole design was like a (fond) slap in the face. I mean, compare X&Y Coldplay with VIVA Coldplay and you see the difference. Back then you went like "wOAH what happened to them!? What's with all the colours? wAIT ARE THEY'RE BLASTING BUTTERFLIES ON THEIR CONCERTS?!" :laugh3: The album fitted perfectly to the time of year it was released (summer) and you just couldn't wait to get to experience that colourful feeling of the album on one of their concerts. Just thinking about it makes me all nostalgic :wacky: :bigcry:
