  1. I only scrutinize songs like this when I really like them, and try to find out why I like them so much. For Up&Up for example, I thought: "Okay, it feels like we're already 5 minutes in and he's been singing the same thing for the entire time. Oh! A long guitar solo, nice!... wait, okay, yeah, already forgot the melody. Oh again, the same lyrics, but the choir is nic-OHMYGOD IT JUST LOOPS FOREVER, and then dies down, and drags itself on with the same repetitive pattern! ARRRGH" Like, cut out the first half of the song, keep the nice intro, the nice middle, and cut the long ass choir repetitions in the end and reduce them to maybe 3. At first I thought the stream was lagging because it all sounded the same to me, but it was just the song :|
  2. Not in my opinion. Everything's not lost is better than everything I've heard from the new album so far..
  3. b-but how do you manage to stuff so many layers into one song aND STILL MAKE IT REPETITIVE?! My headphones are alright, I've got Sony Bass headphones, I hear a lot of the layers.
  4. Oh man finally someone who shares my opinion, I already felt like an outcast :worried: And I SO agree on your "Love the solos but not sure if I am going to hate it in a month or worship it..." They can get pretty annoying after a while, or grow on you. LET'S SEE! And why is it that every new song takes ages to sound nice, and then it's over? I only like the last thirds of all the new songs, the rest is repetitive and you have to listen to 3 minutes of that until some variation comes. *heavy sigh* Maybe the other songs will be nicer.
  5. The guitar was nice, I agree. But the rest.. well I'll wait for the album version, maybe it'll change my opinion. I'm kinda shocked by my own judgement lol. Didn't expect to dislike it that much
  6. Maybe I'll like them when I listen to them several times. But I've already forgotten their melodies :|
  7. Seems like I'm the only one who isn't too impressed with the new songs :freak:
  8. What can I say... I'm shockingly underwhelmded by the new songs :blank: I really wanted to like up&up but... there's too much stuff going on and too much repetition for my taste. And that ending was just over the top corny
  9. Same here hahah. I seriously don't like Tidal after reading how much it doesn't work for people
  10. I'm too tired for this shit  I'll just wait for the album to come out lmao
  11. Seems like that carrier pigeon got eaten by a cat or something :O
