  1. I'm really loving the new albums from The Pineapple Thief, No-Man, and nosound. All three released the best album of their career this year.
  2. I highly recommend these bands: Porcupine Tree No-Man Blackfield nosound Pure Reason Revolution Marillion The Pineapple Thief Mew Elbow Katatonia King Crimson Nektar Camel
  3. I usually feel bad if I don't buy the music (the only time I don't is when I'm looking for b-sides of singles that are way too expensive to buy), so I'll either get the CD version from amazon.com or buy it in the store, or buy the mp3s from Amazon.com or Itunes. I load all my music on my ipod, so I prefer getting mp3s.
  4. Like all the others, it's fantastic! :) I especially like the jam part near the end, it's very progressive in a way. At the rate they're going, this is going to be the best Coldplay album. I can't wait to hear it in higher quality.
  5. Nine Inch Nails - Corona Radiata
  6. ^^ $35 for a cd? That's insane! CDs usually cost around $12-15 here.
  7. I like Early Van Halen, their albums with David Lee Roth were fantastic. Sammy Hagar annoys me, though. Their last album, VH3, wasn't too bad. I never could understand why so many people hate it.
  8. The Pineapple Thief - Tightly Unwound Filter - Anthems For The Damned No-Man - Schoolyard Ghosts NIN - Ghosts I-IV
  9. I can see the first one, but what does 50 cent have to do with Mr. Rogers?
  10. Before Imagine, I'd try either Walls & Bridges or Plastic Ono Band, those are the best JL albums IMO. Also, The Moon & Antarctica is definitely MM's best album. I can't recommend it enough.
  11. Filter - Can Stop This
  12. The Beatles Filter Coldplay Not sure who else, there's my top three.
  13. It's probably fine, but maybe you should check with your local law enforcement, just in case.
  14. Asia - Gone Too Far
  15. Dream Theater are excellent. I'm more partial to their earlier albums (Images and Words, Awake, and Scenes From A Memory are great albums), but I pretty much like everything they've done. The Dark Eternal Night is one of the greatest DT songs, IMO.
  16. Asia - Blue Moon Monday
  17. My favorites are: R&B Pop Progressive Rock Grunge Alternative Rock Indie Post-Rock Psychedelic/Experimental rock
  18. I have all their albums, but I rarely listen to them anymore. They're a decent band, though. Didn't they break up?
  19. I can't understand what's so great about this band. All they do is scream and growl, over distorted guitars and racket. I tried to listen to one of their albums, and turned it off after one song. What a load of crap.
  20. That's not necessarily true, though, many Radiohead fans rank Kid A and Amnesiac higher than The Bends and OK Computer.
  21. I wonder if the people who got into Radiohead later prefer the later sound over the earlier albums?
  22. I've never taken drugs or had the craving to take drugs. I don't fault people who do, though; as long as it's done in moderation, I don't see anything wrong with marijuana. The one drug, though, that I'm completely against is Ecstasy. That drug doesn't only screw up your life, it damages it beyond repair.
  23. I love the Ozzy years, and the first three albums after that (Heaven & Hell, Mob Rules, Born Again), but they started becoming a caracture of themselves after a while. Their worst material, though, is still better than anything that's played on the radio currently.
  24. I got into Radiohead around Kid A, so I don't know how I would have been affected if I was into Radiohead sooner. I imagine I wouldn't have cared, though.
  25. Viva La Vida
