  1. A new approach to getting your question answered - tell the Oracle you're about to give up! August 26, 2009 - submitted by Michelle, United States of America Q. I think this is my last attempt at asking you a question... but all the books about Coldplay that other people have written, can anything they say be trusted? The Oracle replies: It's not they can't be trusted it's just that quite a bit of information is taken from research online that isn't always accurate. Biography books of this nature are sometimes referred to as "copy & paste". There isn't an official book out there though so bear in mind you may not be reading 100% truths. For instance one book states the wrong birthday for Chris.
  2. Continuing with the running theme... August 26, 2009 - submitted by John, United States of America Q. Why do the guys do runners after concerts? The Oracle replies: If the guys have an onward journey to make to catch a flight or whatever, the runner enables them to leave the venue without getting stuck in concert traffic. Given that there are thousands of people all leaving at the same time, the roads can prove to be very busy so they get a head start to avoid congestion.
  3. Congrats! Feels good to get one on there, doesn't it? :D
  4. Sad news, but that's a beautiful statement from his family
  5. I read he was going to do a Christmas album... can't decide which story is weirder???
  6. My, my, Mr Flowers is looking good!
  7. That's the first sensible thing you've said in a long while :P
  8. Join our gang, Min! I may just call the restaurant back and change the booking - one for all of us and one for Chris on his own :P
  9. I just love how innocent and sweet Kutner is, he always sees the best in people. I always think back to the ep where he's still trying to get picked for the team and he goes to see the magician and he's dying to be picked for the audience participation... waving his arm like a little kid! :laugh3:
  10. I don't mind Taub, he's quite funny sometimes, but at the moment (in the UK) he's going through some mid-life crisis crap that's a bit boring... lots of fun watching House play with him! I really don't like Foreman, he irritates me even when he's being nice or doing something that I agree with. Kutner rules!
  11. ... yeah, you won't need the airplane you'll get here all by yourself :P
  12. That's the thanks I get for booking the table??? Last time I do you a favour...
  13. And finally... August 24, 2009 - submitted by Jen, United States of America Q. After reading about all these huge venues, I'm afraid that my hometown Coldplay concert must have been blah for the band. There were only 13,000 people. Do they hate doing small shows? The Oracle replies: That's a pretty small capacity for this tour to be honest but don't worry because they love playing smaller venues too. The stadium shows are gonna see the band perform in front of crowds of around 40-60,000+.
  14. Maybe what he meant to ask was where the phrase comes from... surely everyone knows what it means??? August 24, 2009 - submitted by Jeff, Malta Q. Dearest Oracle, What does "OK" mean? The Oracle replies: If I describe something as "ok" it means it's not bad or adequate. If someone asks me if I would want to do something and I reply "ok" it means yes. Sometimes I use it as a pause before I launch into an answer.
  15. Don't forget to take a pin with you... August 24, 2009 - submitted by Sophia, Spain Q. Hullo there! I've never been to a Coldplay concert, so I was wondering what happens to those yellow balls they let loose on the crowd? Do people keep them or do the band/crew take them back? The Oracle replies: I have seen various things happen to the yellow balloons; the majority are popped (they have confetti inside). Some people fight over ownership (ugly!) and some do make it outside. I'd love to see someone try and get one in the boot of their car! Some make their way to Chris and he pops them with his guitar. The point is to bounce them around from person to person and then pop them! They're certainly not meant to end up back with the crew.
  16. Or in order of arrival... or in order of importance - you've got Mr & Mrs Coldplaying down in fourth and fifth place. What is wrong with this picture???
  17. Note how he puts his Man-crush second on the list even though we've all had the courtesy to reply and Jamie hasn't :P
  18. I don't know any of the episode titles - I'm a latecomer to House :embarassed:
  19. The Scientist 74 - Lovers In Japan 73 Talk 49 +
  20. I loved all the stuff on the beach! and the conversation where House is trying to figure out where he'd been instead of St. Louis... with the background changing as he narrowed it down
  21. Saw an amazing episode last night, think it was called Locked In - Mos Def played a patient who couldn't move... Kutner saved the day :D Brilliant ep, one of my faves so far, it was really cleverly done!
  22. Don't you just love summer? One nice day and all the press have to report on it... now where is the obligatory shot of them trying to cook an egg on the bonnet of the car or on the ground :laugh3:
