Michael Jackson Pepsi commercial accident-1984
I think it's apalling that people are gawping at this footage and can't believe the media are making such a big deal of it - it happened 25 years ago, we all know the story, move on. I wouldn't want to watch anyone on fire, I turned over as soon as it came on.

Old Coldplay vs New Coldplay
I voted for "like them both" but if I were forced to choose, I'd go with new Coldplay. I like them with a bit of swagger.

How did you feel when you first became a Coldplaying Member ?
I felt like the only geek in a room full of fabulous people. Lurked for a while before joining, then it took me a few months to get in to regular posting

Do tell me which one... whatever it was, sure it rocked. I can only think of two or three eps in the whole run that I really didn't like. I love the Sorkin era best. It was so clever how he'd use Josh and Donna to explain a problem... the way each one of them would take a different side of the arguement - like Josh takes a 'phone message' for Donna from Europe in 1938 and they're calling about Hitler. so clever, yet entertaining at the same time anyway, what ep did you watch?

Simon, did you speak to the poster who lives near you? If they're driving, you could get a lift

Pants, double post! Ok, I'll share another fave Josh moment: Josh Lyman: Donna? Donna Moss: What was in the envelope? Josh: Your underwear. Donna: What? Josh: I'm holding your underwear in my hand right now. And the way I know it's your underwear is that your name is sewn in the back which, obviously, we'll spend some time talking about at a later date.

I loved Will... all the struggles he had settling in with Toby, the "Robert Palmer girls" and that glass window he broke :laugh3: Josh & CJ were my favourites though - Josh was so adorable, always with his foot in mouth. Just got a flash to the one with the guy on Death Row (Take this sabbath day???) Josh hungover and wearing fishing gear while Donna dashes to the dry cleaners... "You idiot... I'm Joey Lucas!" :laugh3:

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Don't take it personally, there are thousands of questions submitted, so a lot of it is down to luck... or maybe she just can't answer your question yet. Sometimes questions get held back because the record company are about to make an announcement

That's Two Cathedrals - with the flashback to young Bartlett and Mrs Landingham... the actress that played her was spot on! So dramatic at the end when Barlett takes to the podium and Leo tells them all "Watch this..." Good choice!

Buy it now, Jen, you won't regret it! It's strange watching it now, with the wave of optimism that Obama has brought with him... when Bush was in power I used to watch Wing and think "Why can't Bartlett be the real President?" Fave eps??? Of the top of my Head... - Celestial Navigation (some classic Josh moments there!) - Any "big block of cheese day" - the one where Donna becomes Canadian (forget the title) - 25 Anyone else?

Over here they're re-running the final season. At the weekend it was Election pt2 - where Leo dies. I cried all over again when Josh was at the hospital and CJ hugged the President ... I love Josh!

The Hugh Laurie (Greg House) Aprecciation Thread!
For anyone who hasn't seen the Inside the Actors Studio show, a member of the audience asked about the possiblity of a House/Cameron, House/Cuddy, or House/Wilson relationship... hugh answered that if the show ran for long enough, all three could happen :laugh3: The audience was lapping up the idea of a House/Wilson relationship... though he reckoned Robert Sean Leonard might have something to say about it :wink3:

July 14, 2009 - submitted by Nya, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle, why do they call them buffalo wings when its chicken? The Oracle replies: As Jessica Simpson discovered, those particular chicken wings are named after the area they originated from; Buffalo, NY. They're also marinated in what's known as Buffalo sauce

People sure are curious about the Fix You video... July 14, 2009 - submitted by Ready for July Twenty, Portugal Q. Fix You video is confusing me. I know when a band makes a music video at a show they do the song twice. With Fix You though, I look at the people in the front row and they are actually different people. So this proves that it wasn't filmed twice in one night (like most music videos). Then I thought, it was filmed at two venues. This cant be true since it as the same place in all shots. What is going on Mr. Oracle? How did Coldplay film the Fix You video? The Oracle replies: They played 2 nights at Bolton's Reebok stadium where it was filmed. How many questions can people ask about it???

Wow! I always wondered what that symbol was about! The Oracle really does know everything :) July 14, 2009 - submitted by Natalie, United States of America Q. I have 2 questions.. The first is does shampoo have an expiration date? The second is, is Coldplay ever coming out with a new concert video? Thanks. The Oracle replies: Every cosmetic product should carry a symbol that tells you its shelf life. If you look on the back you should see what looks like a pot with an open lid accompanied with a number and the letter M. The M stands for months and the number is how many months it's good for. For example, mascaras usually have 3M or 6M maximum but your shampoo should be good for a year. There's no official word on any such live DVD at this point. Keep an eye out for Anchorman's posts as that's where you'd hear it first if/when there's anything to announce.

New in today... July 14, 2009 - submitted by Andy, Norway Q. How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man? The Oracle replies: The answer my friend is blowing in the wind. Not even sure if Bob Dylan could respond any more than that Not funny, not clever...

July 13, 2009 - submitted by frances, United Kingdom Q. Why, on the Viva la Vida album, is the first track just the intro to Feet Won't Touch The Ground? Where can I find the whole song? I heard it on the radio, and bought the album, and it's not on there! What a life. The Oracle replies: The song you're looking for is Life in Technicolor ii. You will find it on Prospekt's March, the E.P that was released last November (2008).
