  1. true, but selling and taxing marijuana would certainly help the economy more than having it sold illegally. Not to mention all the dollars spent to arrest, prosecute, and detain marijuana users, which I think is a bit of a waste of money.
  2. My view is that there's no way to prove or disprove that there's a god, so it doesn't really matter. I figure if there is a god, and I'm a good person, I'll be rewarded in heaven or whatever you believe in. It would be a cruel god who sent perfectly good, kind, caring people to "eternal damnation" just because they didn't have faith, am i right?
  3. i see no reason that marijuana should be illegal, while alcohol is legal. Some would argue that alcohol has an even worse effect on the human body, so... by the way, I'm not saying that alcohol should be banned, I'm just saying that as long as you don't bother me or screw something up really badly, I don't care what you put it your body. And taxing marijuana would probably help out the economy a lot come to think of it.
  4. PHOENIX! I love those guys.
  5. I love the new song, and you know why? It's Muse going completely over-the-top and is totally theatrical. I know that's not everybody's thing, but I find it great. As for the Queen comparisons, well, you can't DENY that some parts would sound exactly like a Queen song if Freddie were singing instead of Matt, but I have no problem with it. This type of overblown, theatrical rock suits Muse really well, which is why they're such great live performers. Listening to a Muse song is an experience in itself. Just take Knights of Cydonia or Take a Bow. These are two songs that you probably either love or hate, and it's because Muse pull out all their tricks: Epic guitar parts, electric arpeggios, thumping drums, and apocalypse-style lyrics that tell a story. I personally love it. Some people may think it's cheesy or just plain stupid, but I think it's epic rock at it's best. Which is why I love United States of Eurasia, especially the middle-eastern strings and the SIA! SIA! SIA! part at the end. It makes we smile.
  6. it is such a queen song, and it's GREAT! does anyone else think that Muse should just write a full-out rock opera? I mean, wouldn't that be amazing?
  7. Hey guys! I just recorded this cover of a great Radiohead tune, thought some of you might enjoy it. I know of course this is a Coldplay forum, but I think we all have a healthy appreciation for Radiohead as well, don't we? Feel free to post your opinions, I'd really like to know what you think of it. [ame= ] [/ame]
  8. i can think of at least 10 songs better than all of these. c'mon, where's Won't Get Fooled Again? or Baba O'Riley? Whole Lotta Love? Dream On? Wish You Were Here? Hotel California? A Day in the Life? Hey Jude? Free Bird? All of these are better than any of the options. And "Stayin' Alive" is not even a rock song, it's disco, which is not even kind of similar to rock in my opinion.
  9. ok, the most MUSICALLY TALENTED band, in regard to proficiency on their instruments, is definitely The Mars Volta. I mean, those guys are all insanely talented on their instruments. However, taking songwriting ability into consideration, i'd go with Radiohead or THE ARCADE FIRE. How are they not on the list?

  14. ok, here's a tip. When singing, keep the sound concentrated in the front of your mouth, right at your two front teeth.
