Warner Music Belgium doesn't seem to have a facebook page at all. There is a Benelux page, but they forward to Warner Music Netherlands. Warner Music Netherlands did repost Coldplay's videos.

Definitely the latter, and maybe the former as well. Ghost Stories was pretty low key for a Coldplay album and the record label did miss out on quite a lot of money due to the lack of touring. I can see them wanting to maximize profits by creating as much buzz as possible.

By the way, I kept listening to that John Lewis Christmas advert teaser and that piano reminded me of something. It kinda had the same sound as that catchy piano hook from A View From The Top, only slower of course. I might be looking too much into things, though.

The piano certainly sounds like something that could come from Coldplay. The font, however, doesn't look like anything Coldplay would use. For now I think it's still a John Lewis thing.

True that! It's probably a filesize thing. This forum only allows avatars up to 73.2kb, whereas the smallest I can get the gif without compromising the quality is a little over 200kb.

No way. Releasing the single December 4 would mean over four weeks of teasing. That's a bit too much to keep the buzz going, if you ask me.

I've given the tracklist a look and to be fair, two of those weren't songs she wrote for that album. Love Me Like You Do is like a year old and from the 50 Shades OST, and Outside is a track that originates from Calvin Harris' album Motion. But still, 20 new tracks is quite a lot!

You hit the nail on its head. It would make no sense at all to film a video, perform a new song and show off their AHFOD-themed clothing back in September if they're planning to release the album next spring. So it's either one of the two scenarios you provide, or the record label changed the timetable because they learned about Adele's release and don't want AHFOD to compete with her.

Is there a reason they need to be in Coldplay HQ when they release the new single? The video's already been filmed so if they do a surprise release all they need is someone at the record label to send the single to the radio stations.

I don't neccessarily want those opposing stories, as that would require the band to actually become active again and alter some of the old release materials to make it fit the story. But Liferafts having unreleased songs from the (pre-)Parachutes era, Memento Mori having unreleased material from the VLV era etc. does sound like a fucking terrific idea. Phil, are you reading this?

Actually it wouldn't be the first time Coldplay's song titles resemble a movie Chris' girlfriend/wife acts in. We've had View From the Top (although that song was never officially released) which is also a Gwyneth Paltrow movie form 2003, and Proof, which is a 2005 movie with Gwyneth in it.
