That sounds quite logical. Teasers on Thursday, single Friday and then the album announcement on Friday or early next week. But I do wonder where ColdplayXtra got that information from. Nando from Discord fed them the empty poster space photo's and said on Discord that the station personnel told him it shouldn't have been put up for another couple of weeks. So I wonder if ColdplayXtra made that 17th up themselves or if they have another source at Paulista Station.

ColdplayXtra are now reporting that station personnel said the poster was taken down because it was put up too early. It should've gone up Thursday the 17th.

I remember it as if it were yesterday. When the teaser came out, I immediately thought we were getting some heavier Coldplay stuff. The guitar part reminded me of Guns 'n Roses' Sweet Child of Mine and I fully expected a Coldplay take on that. Then the full song came and Jonny was playing this funky Get Lucky/Nile Rodgers-esque riff during the verses and I was amazed how wrong I was. Fun fact: I had a buddy of mine rip the audio from that teaser so I could use it as my ringtone, and it still is my ringtone today. Wait, that's not confirmed yet, is it? As far as I know there are only rumors (quite similar to Coldplay's) about Adele releasing a new album in November and that the first single could come as early as next Friday.

Yeah, I spotted that as well. The teaser was definitely fake. Though the artwork was quite okay, the audio just sounded fake. Not even fake as in it didn't sound like Coldplay, but fake as in made with fake instruments through an app like FL Studio or Garageband. I've been following that discord earlier tonight. The guy shared his 'info', and then got a little carried away and turned every question into a teaser. I'm not sure if he was trolling or if he was just that excited to have insider information, but I do know that he did not leave to cover his tracks. People didn't buy into his story and his enthusiasm and basically bullied him away. Also, his connection close to the band was supposedly someone at Parlophone, though he didn't want to disclose who or what position that person held. No, IT as in a guy who works with computers, not an Italian guy.

Share it anyway! I'm always interested in what kind of theories people come up with regarding new Coldplay material.

Yeah, I know it's a bit opportunistic to say the least, but I'm just putting the dots together based on the rumors and info we currently have. We know that for some reason, the music industry decided on Friday as their weekly new music day. The band are rumored to make an appearance at Rock the Vote on Monday the 21st. So when do you release your new single if you're planning on performing your new song on Monday the 21st? Right, the Friday before. That being said, it's Coldplay we're taking about. I'm not trying to give people false hope, but this wouldn't be the first time the band premiered a new song live before releasing the single or album it's part of. I think they most recently did that with Amazing Day. We heard that song months before AHFOD at Global Citizen Festival.

Do you mean that Rock the Vote thing? According to the tweet Coldplay retweeted, that takes place on October 21. If Coldplay are planning on following a similar marketing strategy to AHFOD (which went from teaser to full release within 5 weeks), October 18th would be a great date to drop a new song and then play it live at Rock the Vote, only for the album to be released towards the end of November.

Yeah, the mix on AICTAIY is terrible. It's such a great song, but the mix makes it sound like it's played underwater. It really doesn't do that epic guitar solo justice.

The film isn't available on Prime Video in the Netherlands yet. Does anyone with a Prime subscription in a location where it is available know if the film is offered in 4K or just 1080p?

So any idea on when we can expect either a studio version or a video of the live performance on Youtube, Spotify, iTunes etc? They said proceeds would go to various disaster relief efforts, but with no legal streaming/purchasing option available yet there isn't much the impatient fans can do right now.

I don't, but keep in mind that these aren't store bought. The mandalas, tie-dye's and other AHFOD logo's and patches are custom made.

That's unlikely. They already have 22 American dates planned from August to October and did an American stint of 23 shows in support of AHFOD last year.

I'm a bit bummed that that they already announced the EP back in March and released Hypnotised back then. If Miracles 2 is a rework in the fashion of Lost+, the only real new track left to discover is A L I E N S.

I wonder when they'll drop the whole track. Tomorrow is friday and friday is the usual industry wide release day for singles and albums

That does make a lot of sense. And I too like the build up period towards a new single, EP or album. It's much better than knowing they've just released some material and won't be doing so for another couple of years.

After tonight I REALLY hope Something Just Like This on the Kaleidoscope EP will be more like the live version. It's still nowhere near top Coldplay material, but the song sounds so much better with Jonny's guitar instead of the electronic Chainsmokers sounds in the instrumental choruses

I wouldn't hold my breath for June 2. That's two weeks from now and so far we don't even have the artwork or the option to pre-order it. Plus, the only official source we have is Coldplay.com and they say June 30.

Yup. I checked Waybackmachine and their latest snapshot from April 19 still mentions the June 2 releasedate, so it has been edited anywhere between April 19 and Coldplayisawesome's discovery earlier today. Also, can anyone fill me in on that rumoured collab? I've been out of the loop for a while
