As for everyone wanting more songs... Don't we recall the band saying last year they believed in only releasing EP's in the future? Smaller albums might cut it

It's very much a product of the radiohead "formula". Lotus Flower is fucking amazing, period. It's the song they've been working towards, 8 albums in. It's Thom Yorke hitting his vocal orgasm. The rest sounds too familiar but nonetheless a lot better than radio troll we're fed every day. It's clear this album rewards multiple listens as I find myself discovering new parts or layers every time I listen to the tracks.

Anyone from tokyo? Radiohead have tweeted details of a mysterious Tokyo location and time ahead of the release of their new album on Saturday (February 19). The band posted the message in Japanese on their official Twitter.com page, Twitter.com/radiohead, this morning (17). It roughly translates as: "Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday". The square is one of the notoriously busy 'pedestrian roads' in Tokyo. Fans are now speculating that the band may appear at the square at 18:59 (JST) tomorrow, which would be 4:59am UK time on Saturday morning. Radiohead have so far not elaborated on what the tweet means, and their spokesperson is yet to reply to a request for further information. The tweet: 渋谷 ハチ公広場 金曜日 １８時５９分

Yep. They even cancelled Homebake 2011. I'm not going to Wombats, im overseas at the time. SHATTERED. And might miss the drums too.

Let them spaz

Good vibes surprised me how good it was. Friendly fires were massive, they played about 6 new tunes which sound epic. The ting tings were great, the chick came hugged us in the front row. Their new material sounds awful, sadly. Miike snow were good, I was front row for that and Phoenix. They surprised me with their awesome remix of VW's 'kids don't stand a chance'. But Phoenix were always going to amaze. No new songs, just a set with all but 4 songs from Wolfgang amadeus. They played 'rally' and I officially lost my shit. They are such a great pop band and lizstomania sent the place ballistic.

This is so fucking exciting I can't sleep!!! What a surprise but we all knew it was going to be that way...
