  23. Here Are The Spoilers for next week on Coronation Street!: Monday 14th July 2008 7.30pm Steve (Simon Gregson) is still trying to avoid Michelle (Kym Ryder) who is becoming increasingly concerned about the lack of a proposal. Meanwhile Lloyd (Craig Charles) confides in Eileen (Sue Cleaver) about the whole thing, but refuses to tell her where Steve stayed over. Eileen tells Lloyd that he should tell Michelle that he has made a mistake and Steve has no plans to propose. But in the meantime an increasingly under pressure Steve has now proposed to a delighted Michelle. Kevin (Michael Le Vell) isn’t impressed to find a delivery truck blocking the entrance to the garage. He knows it is Tony’s (Gray O'Brien) doing but initially decides not to say anything. As time goes on however he gets increasingly angry and storms into the garage to demand it be moved. When Tony refuses Kevin takes the matter into his own hands. Carla (Alison King) is concerned that Tony has made an enemy of Kevin but Tony points out that he is merely trying to make Kevin realise how difficult he could make it for him if he doesn’t sell up. Ken (William Roache) is feeling dissatisfied with his life and surprises Roy (David Neilson) by handing in his notice. Blanche (Maggie Jones) says that it is because he was too embarrassed to admit to his uni friends where he was working. Elsewhere Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is also wanting more out of life but doesn’t know where to start. This episode is written by Peter Whalley and directed by Neil Johnston. The producer is Kim Crowther. **** Monday 14 July 8.30pm Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is still insistent that Lloyd (Craig Charles) tell Michelle (Kym Ryder) that Steve (Simon Gregson) is not going to propose. Lloyd reluctantly agrees unaware that Steve has already proposed and is at this very moment celebrating in the Rovers. Eileen agrees to call Steve over to sign some cheques giving Lloyd enough time to get across to see Michelle. Meanwhile Steve is oblivious to the time bomb ticking away over at Streetcars and celebrates with Michelle and the regulars. Having plucked up the courage to tell Michelle however Lloyd is dropped on when she tells him that Steve has already proposed but now she can’t accept. She asks him not to tell Steve that she knows. Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Tony (Gray O'Brien) argue about Kevin’s new sign and the parking restrictions between the garage and the factory. Kevin thinks he has finally got on over on Tony and Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is pleased that he has stood up to him. But Tony is no pushover and returns with the deeds for the factory which clearly show that Kevin has encroached onto his land. Kevin has to agree to move the sign – round two to Mr Gordon. Meanwhile Tony also decides to start a major charm offensive on Rita (Barbara Knox) aware that his row with Kevin could be outing her off selling too. He takes her to the show flat and makes clear that one of the apartments could be hers as part of the deal. Dev’s latest plan to try and pep up his life after having a business lunch cancelled is to rearrange the shop – but as Molly (Vicky Binns) points out to Jack (William Tarmey) – this means him scribbling on a piece of paper and her doing all the donkey work. Elsewhere Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) is not happy about Ken’s (William Roache) decision to pack in his job at the café. This episode is written by Peter Whalley and directed by Neil Johnston. The Producer is Kim Crowther. **** Wednesday 16 July 7.30pm Michelle (Kym Ryder) is devastated after Lloyd’s (Craig Charles) confession but she tells Carla (Alison King) that she plans to make Steve (Simon Gregson) sweat and see just how far he will go with his little charade. When he tells her that he wants to choose the ring she decides to choose one of the most expensive rings the jeweller has. Steve insists in proposing again with the ring – he is stunned when she refuses, telling him she knows it was all a scam to cover up whatever he might have got up to on the night he went AWOL. Molly’s (Vicky Binns) efficiency in running the house does not go unnoticed by Jack (William Tarmey) who comments to Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that she is one in a million. Tyrone agrees and confides in Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Jack that he wants to ask her to marry him prompting Jack to offer him Vera’s engagement ring. Later in the pub Molly is surprised to bump into her Aunty Pam (Kate Anthony) who has upset Betty (Betty Driver) by trying to flog her knock-off stuff in the Rovers. Rosie (Helen Flanagan) is enjoying her new found power at Underworld and in a bid to ingratiate herself with the girls she has a word with Tony (Gray O'Brien) about reinstating Sean (Antony Cotton). Tony tells her he values her input and will consider it. Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) tries to get Tony to play golf with him but Tony isn’t interested – Dev is not impressed when Vernon (Ian Reddington) says he will play instead. This episode is written by Damon Rochefort and directed by Pip Short. The Producer is Kim Crowther. ***** Friday 18 July 7.30pm Michelle (Kym Ryder) tells Carla (Alison King) there is no second chance for Steve (Simon Gregson) and lists all his bad points. Carla knows how much she loves him really and later when Carla speaks to Steve she realizes that he did really mean the proposal. Steve manages to get Michelle to agree to meet him on neutral ground but it is immediately obvious that she is not going to be easy to talk round and she demands to know what happened the night he stayed out. There’s a nice atmosphere at Molly (Vicky Binns) and Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) as Jack (William Tarmey) checks that Tyrone is all sorted for this evening. When Aunty Pam (Kate Anthony) arrives to see Molly she soon twigs what Tyrone is up to as Molly reveals he has booked a swanky restaurant for later. Once at the restaurant a nervous Tyrone makes sure the waiter has everything ready for his big moment – but things don’t go quite to plan. Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is looking forward to his round of golf until Vernon (Ian Reddington) turns up in a rather garish golf outfit with a set of antique clubs. Once at the club it is clear Vernon has not got a clue what he is doing and when Dev bumps into an influential local businessman he is terrified Vernon is going to show him up. Elsewhere Mel (Emma Edmondson) is still furious at Teresa (Karen Henthorne) and makes snide remarks to Jerry (Michael Starke) about her staying. This episode is written by Simon Crowther and directed by Pip Short. The Producer is Kim Crowther. ***** Friday 18 July 8.30pm Steve (Simon Gregson) decides to come partially clean to Michelle (Kym Ryder) and confesses that he did stay over at a girl’s house but that he stayed on the sofa and nothing happened. Michelle is furious and throws the engagement ring in a skip before storming off. A devastated Steve is left to wade through waste in the skip to try and find the expensive ring. Back at home Michelle is heartbroken and tells Liam (Rob James Collier) that she wants him to kick Steve’s head in. She doesn’t believe he slept on the sofa and when he returns to the pub stinking of rubbish and begging for forgiveness she throws him out on the street – followed by his clothes. Jack (William Tarmey) and Auntie Pam (Kate Anthony) excitedly await Tyrone (Alan Halsall) and Molly’s (Vicky Binns) return but are surprised when they arrive back, not even mentioning a proposal other than the one they saw happen in the restaurant. Later when Molly tells Tyrone she loves things the way they are he hands the ring back to Jack. Vernon’s (Ian Reddington) golf improves dramatically after some coaching from Prem Mandal (Madhav Sharma). Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is delighted to have met such an influential businessman and impressed that he remembers him from Weatherfield Trader’s Association and agrees to go for a drink with him. Tony (Gray O'Brien) gives Sean (Antony Cotton) his job back and tells him that it was Rosie’s (Helen Flanagan) idea. Kevin (Michale Le Vell) overhears what Tony has said and tells Sean that Tony has reinstated him because he is playing a game to try and get him to sell the garage. Sally (Sally Whittaker) and Rosie are getting increasingly annoyed at Kevin’s paranoia about Tony and let him know. This episode is written by Joe Turner and directed by Pip Short. The Producer is Kim Crowther.
