  1. *waves* I'm Zoe, welcome to the forum! :nice:
  2. When you spend an extended amount of time with your parents because you go on vacation with them, and after seeing the extent of your Coldplay obsession they become rather freaked out by how strong it is... And when you add the name "Coldplay" to your computer dictionary because you use it so much.
  3. Oy. Well if we're talking about life bloopers, what about Chris' hair from the very beginning of Coldplay? *points to the video on the coldplay.com timeline where he makes excuses about it* :laugh3:
  4. No he didn't, those are the right words!
  5. In the Rolling Stone article from the spring, doesn't Chris say that he first started singing in public at school, and some girls laughed at him? Here, I'll write out the quote for you: When did you start singing? The first time I ever sang in public was in a school concert when I was 11. I sang a song I had written about newspapers. Some people really dug it. And others didn't. I remember these two girls came up to me afterward and said "we heard you singing", and then they both giggled and ran off, as if to say, "it was shit". And my whole life has been that day repeating ever since. Then why did you continue? I forgot about singing for a while, then some friends wanted to play "Sweet Child o' Mine" in a concert as school. I said "wow, let me sing it." At the end this guy Tom said to me, "Chris, could you sing it a little less like Tina Turner?" And I was like, "I wasn't! I was trying to sound like Axl Rose!" So there you have it :P Oh, and then he talks about being in "a bunch of bands". So yes, he had singing experience.
  6. Ta-da! at around 2:15: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqk4D7JE2XQ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqk4D7JE2XQ[/ame] and here: [ame= ] [/ame] You can tell how nervous he is because he doesn't really joke around :P
  7. Aw, why don't we focus on their virtues instead of their vices? :P EDIT: Oh, there's the part in Warning Sign at Glastonbury 05 when Chris starts wrong, has to start over, and says "even we make mistakes every day"... And in How We Saw The World, doesn't he mess up Til Kingdom Come and says something like "first mistake of the night and it has to come in this song"? *goes to look them up*
  8. Oh god, has it only been a week?! :wreck: It's been a looooooong week! In fact... *goes to bed and prepares to take a nap* Yay :wacky:
  9. Debs just confirmed that my postcards made it to the boys and now I am very very happy indeed. :wacky: I don't even know anyone who is indifferent, everyone I know is a passionate Coldplay-hater. :dozey: My best friend even refused to stand in line with me at Barnes and Noble when I bought my Parachutes LP, and wouldn't lend me the extra few dollars that I needed to by the X&Y LP as well :veryangry2: Mature, yeah? ...There needs to be a nickname for those losers. Coldhater? Nah...:P
  10. Haha, really? I knew that he thanked us for them, but I didn't know that! "The ones who sent the postcards"... :laugh3: To half-quote House: "that's our Indian name" :P
  11. OH MY GOD, thank you SO SO much, Debs! I just screamed and got teary :P You have no idea what those 4 words just meant to me :bigcry:
  12. Oh god, it's started again! I posted about that bag in the Random Thoughts thread like 2 months ago, and about 10 Coldplayers bought it (including me)! And now you guys are getting it too... No one can resist the call of the Whatever it Takes bag :laugh3: What's that picture from? They're so happy! :wacky:
  13. No, Chris, we're not trying to figure out your old username!
  14. ... :stunned:
  15. But don't you need an account to read the forum now? Or was there just something going on with the forum the other day... I wonder what Phil's username would be  :P
  16. AWWWWWW, YAY! Congrats, Simon Pegg! So exciting!!!! :wacky:
  17. Yeah, they do that.
  18. Can you remember dating Gwyneth Paltrow?
  19. Aw, that's so adorable! First the Grammy wink, now this stuff at the concert... This is pretty big stuff coming from them :P These vague gestures to each other at high-profile events are going to kill me
  20. We all know why you're really on this thread, Chris... It boosts your ego. :dozey: "post pictures of the gorgeous Chris"?! :laugh3:
  21. Whoops, didn't mean to start a whole postcard-finding request trend... Sorry! :embarassed:
  22. Stop talking about yourself in the third person :P
  23. Yeah, that's what I thought, but the pastel colors don't work too well with the color effects that R42 puts on his videos/pictures! I feel like that postcard that looks completely blank is mine :P And the second one has some pretty obvious shapes and colors, so I keep thinking that I see it
  24. *smacks forehead* I never responded to your profile message, did I? *goes to do that* I'm a bit out of it today, aren't I :P
  25. Coldwhat? I just come on here for your comedy! And *giggle* sandwhiches... That sounds like something out of The Phantom Tollbooth
