  1. No no no, we need 'THE picture' from the Chris thread... you know the back bend one? But I'm too lazy to search for it at the moment... :( Ah well, I'll find it eventually! :)
  2. Woohoo, I will now make one of Marisa's friends into a Coldplay fanatic since my own friends are idiotic and refuse to even tolerate Coldplay! Let the brainwashing commence...
  3. Yup, they played that and "Pride" too, since that's about MLK Jr.... It was pretty epic! Well there are several million extra people in our tiny city, and the normal population is less than 600,000, so it feels ridiculously crowded. We've been advised to not even try traveling to drugstores, gas stations, etc since all of the streets are so full! Some estimates are already saying more than 400,000 people attended the concert today- that's almost the entire DC population! :stunned: *hides under rock*
  4. Apparently you could watch it even if you don't subscribe to HBO, which I don't understand at all  But that's what they said on the news!
  5. Yeah, it was actually pretty weird without them! I mean, all of their BFFs were there like Beyonce and U2, and they love Obama so much... Oh well, they were there in spirit! :P U2 was pretty awesome, they were the only ones who played more than one song. Bono tried to do a crowd singalong thing, but it backfired because the sound got more and more delayed the further back the crowd went... So everyone was singing at a different time, and didn't know what to sing. Poor Bono! :embarassed: There were tons and tons of people there, the crowd stretched from the Lincoln Memorial all the way down the reflecting pool and way past the Washington Monument (for those of you who don't know, that's A LOT of people)! The entire city is such a mess right now, the tourists are taking it over! You should've seen the Metro farecard machines today...
  6. Can we please take the debate elsewhere? I'd rather keep this thread for its designated purpose, and to post pictures of the events, not have anyone claiming Obama is "Bush the Third" and being pessimistic... Please don't ruin the excitement of the moment for other people, even if you're not excited yourself! ;)
  7. Alright, I've uploaded my first few pictures here, but I'm still working on it, I have about 400 pictures to sort through :stunned:
  8. Hey everyone! Chelsea suggested that I post my stories and pictures from the concert & inauguration here, so I am :nice: Anyway, I just got back from the concert, and am currently defrosting (it's SO COLD) and uploading pictures! I'll post them all here when they're all on my computer  The concert was incredible, I don't know if any of you watched it... The most exciting parts were definitely Obama's speech (obviously), U2, Stevie Wonder, and Steve Carell. I was pretty close to the stage, about as close as you could get without a VIP pass, so it was great!
  9. Ahhh, I know! It was the cutest thing ever! Anchorman tricked us, he played LIT2 instead (not that I'm complaining)!
  10. *saves to computer* :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: I like this look, it's very X&Y! I'm so glad that he didn't show up with a completely shaved head again :P THANK YOU! I love how adorably awkward he is when they're making the speech about him, and that part where he suddenly appears behind the guy who's talking at around 3:35! Oh Chris... (Although I imagine that must be pretty uncomfortable, especially when you're not used to being alone for these things). Oh well, good job Chris!
  11. Or maybe his fingers were just tired from playing so much in the studio! *is trying to making everything into a sign that they're being productive in the studio* :P I loved the performance, even if it wasn't perfect :)
  12. Yay, first pic, thanks!! Mhm, definitely an "I've been busy recording a shitload of new songs that are absolutely fantastic" look :P
  13. God only knows, but you have to admit that it's pretty impressive! :P I wish my hair grew like that! And I think that it's only to be expected that his singing might be a little off, he hasn't sung live in a while, they've only played this song a few times, and it seems like it'd be hard to sing!
  14. Thanks Lore!! After this, I think it's pretty certain that they'll play LIT2 at the Grammys... But who knows! EDIT: ^ Good, that's what I want to hear! Does anyone have screencaps or anything yet?
  15. Hopefully that means that he looks like he's had a productive month in the studio with the rest of the boys :P
  16. Thanks Ian!! I'll try it :) EDIT: YAY! "Long long hair"! I can't wait to see pics....
  17. LIT2 acoustic! I'm happy! What the hell just happened? Did they win something? And Chris' French is adorable! Can someone translate? Haha, he said "thanks for having us"... instinct, I guess :P
  18. Wait, they mentioned VLV, what's this shit playing???
  19. Whenever he comes on, someone has to tell us what he's wearing! I want to know if they're debuting the supposed "new outfits" yet... And if he's shaved all of his hair off yet :uhoh:
  20. Aw, that's right! He has to perform Lost... alone... after losing all of the nominations... :bigcry: :bigcry: Remind me again why he's missing the inauguration for this? :dozey:
  21. My god, do those girls in the background EVER shut up?!?! I'm getting a headache!
