I'm still just pissed off that he's there instead of here at the Obama concert tomorrow. Seriously, have you guys heard the line-up? It's insane that they're not going... :mean:

DC is just going mad right now, it's incredible! If we find out this week, I think that might just be too much excitement for me in one week, seeing as I've found out just since Sunday that I'm going to Disney World, spending the summer in Oxford, and that I have an inauguration ticket! :P But still, if they want to announce dates I won't mind... ;)

:rolleyes: I don't feel like arguing with anyone over this. If he hasn't convinced you in two years of campaigning then I doubt anything I say will change that. I can say that I know a lot of his policies backwards and forwards since I campaigned extensively for him, and he definitely won't be "Bush the 3rd"! I know you're not going to believe me, though, so I won't bother going into it. (If you're talking about policies, though, versus what you think his personality is, you can start with the things that he's already announced, e.g. closing Guantanamo, focusing more on Afghanistan, willingness to meet with leaders of enemy nations w/o preconditions, just to name a few foreign policy issues. There's no way he'll be "Bush the 3rd" policy-wise!)

Hmmmm.... When you find out you have one of only 240,000 tickets to Obama's inauguration on Tuesday, and one of the first things you check is whether your Coldplay bag is small enough for security requirements! :P

I'm going and I have a ticket!!!!!!! I just found out a couple of hours ago and I'm ecstatic! I was planning on sleeping out on the Mall anyway if I didn't get one :P Are you going to the concert on Sunday, too? There are supposedly about a million people going :stunned: I'm going to be trapped in my own city, they're closing almost all of the roads and the number of people coming is around twice as large as the entire DC population! EDIT: ^ Um in case you missed it, OBAMA won and not McCain. ;) :lol:

You could always kidnap them if all else fails :laugh3: Yeah, he died 3 days after my first Coldplay concert and 6 before my birthday :\ I didn't know that anything was going on until after the concert, though, since I'd been in England. I have a ton of Coldplay school stories because something Coldplay-related happens to me pretty much every day :) I'm a bit obsessed with them, you know, so these things tend to gravitate towards me ;) :laugh3: :laugh3: "Get me Coldplay. No, seriously. Get them." :P My Whatever it Takes tote will be coming with me to Obama's swearing-in! I already went on the inauguration website to make sure that it's not too big... I actually checked that before I even looked to see where the entrances are :laugh3: EDIT: I didn't even have a sweet 16! :bigcry: My grandfather had died less than a week before, so no one was really in a partying mood :( Well, maybe I can have a sweet 17? *thinks*

Thanks, I'm still in complete shock! I've been trying so unbelievably desperately to get a ticket, so when I found out a little while ago I burst out crying and almost fainted :bigcry: :lol: And then I was like "hang on... didn't I write this on my postcard?!" If you look in the picture, I'll actually be in front of that reflecting pool on the lawn :dance: The frenzy to get tickets has been unbelievable, especially around here- imagine the golden tickets in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and then multiply that by a million!

GUYS, I just have to share this: My postcard ended up being prophetic!! See, my second one (the one from my hometown) was a picture of the Capitol and the beginning of the Mall... On it I circled the front lawn of the Capitol and wrote "where I'll be for Obama's inauguration". Of course, since I didn't have a ticket, I would've actually been much further back, but that wasn't on the postcard so I just circled where I could. Well, today I found out that I do have a ticket, so now I'll actually be as close as I said on the postcard!! Even closer, actually... See, here it is:

Today I saw a video about my school that they made for the school's anniversary, and there was a picture of one of my classmates, and he was wearing the VLV tour shirt!!! I was so proud, I thought "yes, Coldplay made it into the school video- now they are immortalized!" :lol: And I just found out that I have a ticket to Obama's swearing-in, and now I'm wondering if I'll see any of the boys! :thinking: That would be hilarious if I end up meeting them at the inauguration when I went to two concerts and SNL last year :P I'm sure they won't be there, but it's still fun to imagine...

I wish Scrubs could just have a dignified end, but the writers' strike ruined any chance of that happening :( As much as I love the show and have for years, the quality has gone sooo downhill! And I thought the first two episodes were worse, actually... The jokes seemed really tame or something. :\ *stops off-topicness* I forgot to mention that today I was talking to my teacher, and I said "guess what!", and he was like "wait, let me guess.... Yellow?" It was really weird because I was listening to my iPod while we were talking, and Yellow came on right as he said it! And he was just referring to the color, he doesn't know that I listen to Coldplay. :surprised: I love Coldplay coincidences! :dance:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I forgot that Scrubs was on tonight! It's okay, I'll watch it later, and it appears that ABC is destroying the show anyway... :angry: (although it's been pretty bad for a couple seasons now, but I still love it :heart:)
