I can't leave Britney alone, she's scary! :bigcry: Oh, and I just randomly looked at my TV Guide, and there's a picture of Chris because of the Grammys! Sorta the last 'magazine' I was expecting to see Coldplay in, but whatever :P

They made my summer better too! Well, except for my grandfather dying, but they helped with that too, since I just blasted Coldplay 24/7... Everything's Not Lost, as a matter of fact :P We should send a letter to Britney Spears: Dear Britney, in case you hadn't noticed, you're not 18 anymore. Put on some damn clothes! :lol:

Ahhh, it was so great :wacko: Whenever I listen to VLV I still think back to last summer, since it was everywhere all summer! Yes, If Coldplay hadn't come on afterwards, I would've been very angry that I sat through that video for nothing... Britney Spears, EW. I really think she's wayyyyyy too old for that crap now. Not that I ever think that stuff is appropriate, but when I was watching I just kept thinking "she's a mother"!

Yeah, I think that time with my friend it was the same station that played both songs... She's my only friend who loves Coldplay, so we blasted the radio and sang along at the top of our lungs! It was so fun, even though I was scared we were going to die :laugh3: Hmm, I'm not sure if it can be taught :thinking: And it comes with the unfortunate side effect of having to sit through a Britney Spears video :P That thing was disturbing, frankly- she has children, for god's sake, and there she was shaking her (barely covered) ass! I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever, which isn't true at all, so... :thinking: Anyway, I guess we both had Coldplay coincidences today :nice: Once my friend and I were in the car on our way somewhere, and on the way there we heard Viva la Vida on the radio, and on the way back we heard Clocks :) Oh maybe it was 'MTV hits', since that's what Will said... *shrug* Well, whatever it's called, I apparently have a 6th sense for Coldplay videos now, hooray!

Urban Outfitters = My entire wardrobe :P So I was just channel surfing and came across some MTV channel where they play music videos 24/7, and some Britney Spears shit was playing where she's dancing basically naked with some elephants...? Anyway, I just had this feeling, and I sat through the end of that horrendous video, and suddenly BAM, there are the boys!! From that interview before the VMAs, and Chris is just like "HI", introduces all of them, and then Will said "you're watching MTV hits"... And then the LIJ video came on!!! I was so excited... I mean, what are the odds of that? :dance: :dance:

Aw come on guys, that performance wasn't as bad as you made it sound! :P I just don't understand this phenomenon of playing Chris' original vocals during the choruses in the TV performances, they did it on Top of the Pops too. I swear this is new- I know they didn't do it on SNL, at least. And I think Chris might have a bit of a cold, he was coughing and seemed out of breath at some points... :thinking:

I second that! And was anyone really expecting this to be that great, honestly? They haven't done a concert in more than a month, and a TV show for even longer, since Top of the Pops was pre-recorded. *shrug*

I just have to share that we were talking about Lewis & Clark today in history class, and my teacher said, "Yeah, Lewis & Clark were really close. Lewis was neurotic and crazy and always said he wasn't good enough, and Clark was calmer and kept Lewis sane." And I was like "AHH, JUST LIKE CHRIS AND JONNY! Awwww!" :P

I saw that there was a lot of activity in this thread, so I thought "AHH DEBS UPDATE!" But when I come here to check, what do I find? I gave it a 7 although I was tempted to go lower, I'm really not wild about it :sick: I feel like the video was more about the special effects than the song, which disappointed me since it's one of my favorite Coldplay songs. Having the special effects audio over the song (e.g. with the motorcycles) is what really did it for me. The Scientist video, in my opinion, balances the video and song much better because the plot of the video connected with the lyrics. This was just... too busy. I don't know. Maybe I'll get used to it and learn to love it!
