Honestly, I can't say much. The only thing I don't like is A Sky Full of Stars. I've come to like the song as a single, but it's really out of place on the album (musically). But outside of that, I think this album is wonderful. I love every other track, and I think the production is great. EDIT: I can agree about some of the lyrics being bad. I'll probably have stuff thrown at me, but I've never thought Martin was the best lyricist. So it's not really that much of a big deal for me. I don't like Coldplay for their lyrics. *ducks* That's not to say he can't write some beautiful things. But it's never been the bands strong suit. I've always found the melody/vocal delivery more important than the lyrics.

This is probably their best album since AROBTTH for me.

I've only heard the album once. But I think it's amazing. It has a very coherent sound from beginning to end. Best words I can use are "ethereal" and "haunting". Every track has this mellow fragility to it, and Martin sound so vulnerable.

I'm glad they are putting out an album that puts distance to their past sounds. I feel like Mylo was kind of a re-tread/ a sum of all their previous work, and this is the record to kind of step forward into whats next.

It's okay. I kind of feel like, this is how it's going to be for now on with Coldplay. They have gotten as big as U2 - and shows will be near impossible to see. It's all luck I suppose. That - and well, if you are a scalper. Jesus, like 50 orchestra tickets are up on Tickets Now. What a bummmer

You are lucky! This is my SECOND time trying to see Coldplay this tour, and i wasn't able to get tickets. It really does suck. Each time i try for tickets, i get really bad ones. What a shame, guess I won't be seeing them this tour. :(

So honestly, can' say I am thrilled about these $103 ticket prices. After fees, this is gonna be expensive. This will actually be more Expensive then Bruce Springsteen. Never thought I wuld see the day.

I missed them on the first half of this tour, and I'm dying to finally see them. So glad they are coming back. I don't live in Chula Vista, but it's one of my fav venues to see live shows. Very excited.

Interesting enough, I just found out that I also have an extra ticket I need to sell. I only have ONE ticket (it's hard ticket). My ticket is LOG 31 Row F (5th Row) - I am selling this at face value. When all was said and done, I paid $133 with fees and shipping. BUT, I'll sell it for $125. I can provide a receipt as well, so you know what I paid for it. Just PM me, and we'll work it out.

I sure hope not. But there's no way I can start thinking about an LP 5 right now. I am so happy with LP4, need to absorb it all in.

Sorry, but I gave this album a good 20 listens - and I still love it. In fact, I think this is a great direction for the band.

True. But other genres overall are selling more then rap used to. 5 years ago, the rap genre was leading in sales. I guess what I'm trying to say, it sucks that out of all the weeks their album is coming out, Lil Waynes album is coming out a week before.

Rap isn't even that dominant anymore in the US. It's actually the genre that took the most drops in sales lately.

What I find really interesting, is the fact that even in the Pre-sales/general sales for some of these dates, NO one on here got a "great" seat. It's as if, they didn't put up the floor seats yet. Like they are holding them for something special (thats my optimistic view). My pessimistic view is, they reserved all the good seats for promotional use (radios/ticket holders etc etc). I've seen it happen before. It' s a major downer to all the fans. ANd like I said, usually at least SOME people on a board this big full of fans would of reported getting something GREAT. I know we aren't all the coldplay fans in the world. I just find these sales suspicious is all.

Hah, you totally rule! Metal Gear Solid 4 looks awesome. I'll be picking it up today. Unfortunately, I have to wait till next week to get Viva La Vida (US). :)

Nice to meet you! So, 2nd time I saw Coldplay was at Coachella festival. My cousin had a VIP pass, and I was able to meet Martin briefly. It was pretty amazing.

I don't hate Lil Wayne as much as you guys do. But I really don't care for his music either. My friend is a fan, and even he said this wasn't his best album. So it would be a shame if he took the # 1 spot, when Coldplay really deserve it.

Reviews are ONLY good if you want something to wet your appetite. Like if you haven't heard anything about the album, and you want to read ANYTHING about it. Problem is, in this internet age, most albums leak. So must of us have heard the album already and have our opinions formed before the review comes out. So regardless of what a critic says, we will either strongly agree or disagree with them. But like you said, it really comes down to what YOU think. Anyone that actually looks to reviewers to make up their mind for them is sad. Now, the only reason i DO care what a critic says, is because I want the band to be as successful as possible. Sometimes bad reviews can mean bad sales. I want the best for Coldplay. :)
