Good God, that place is massive. The stage is miles away. Anyway I just read it's quite likely to be October for the new album  That could well mean a new single or two out in time for the summer festival slots

The National Top 15 Songs - **send your top 15 favorite songs toThe Final Track!**
The only one I could do any justice to in that list would be Elbow. And a Mew battle would be nice to see. That'd be fun :)

The 8th Mixtape Exchange (Links in first post)
Think I'm about 90% happy with my tracklist. Not gonna zip/upload yet in case I want to make a few more tweaks. Excited to hear the mix that someone has put together for me  Can I make a request for mp3's only tho. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no iTunes tracks. I'll be listening thru media player and it doesn't recognise the iTunes extension. iTunes pisses me off no end, it's really slow and stupid and switching programs just messes up the flow of the mix :( Other than that, I'm not fussy about particular styles/genres, but I don't tend to look favourably on rap/hip-hop/r-n-b, just to warn ya :) oh and my last.fm link is in me sig -----> if ya want it ;)

Elbow
I watched it late last night on the iPlayer. That Anna Calvi bird was chuffin' scary. I had to fast forward thru her bits so I didn't get nightmares :\ Lippy Kids was lovely tho [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn9dQwYBp8k]YouTube - Elbow Lippy Kid (TV live)[/ame] Interview: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIFvSiVK4as]YouTube - Guy Garvey Interview Of Elbow on Later With Jools Holland 2011.mp4[/ame] Neat Little Rows: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejZZr6doBX8]YouTube - Elbow Neat Little Rows Jools Holland Later April 2011[/ame]

Best Album Covers
Without a doubt, Screamadelica has the best album artwork ever, imo. It's so iconic. My other favourites would be The La's or Revolver And I really like the new Elbow one. I have that one on my wall :D

What's the best british band at the moment?
Jesus, is this what British music boils down to in the eyes of the rest of the world? - dodgy old has-beens like U2 who aren't even British anyway, gobby shites like Oasis who are no longer relevant and didn't release anything note-worthy after Morning Glory anyway and the standard fare of Coldplay & Radiohead because they are the big names that everyone has heard of..? Are these to be our representatives? :shame: Just because these are four of the biggest names in guitar music, it does not equate that any of them could be described as the 'best', it's such an irrelevant question really, cos it all comes down to personal opinion. Define the term 'best'... Anyway, that list of breakthrough bands on the previous page is a step in the right direction but totally misses out bands like Biffy Clyro, Elbow, Kasabian, Editors. Good bands that are passionate and dedicated to challenging and bettering themselves as artists. (And no, nononono, the Kaiser Chiefs should not be tagged as great british music, you might aswell have mentioned Keane  ) And of course the truely innovative and inspirational stuff like The Beta Band, Super Furries, The Coral etc are always overlooked and forgotten. Not big names but those are the ones geting the critical acclaim and the ones who are inspiring/have inspired new bands. So yeah, I voted 'Other' cos for me (as much as I  Coldplay) there are dozens of british bands that I would describe as technically better or more important in terms of musical direction than the other choices

Elbow
bhaha those kittens are amazin
-
The Coral
Bill's written a song with Graham Coxon and Paloma Faith for Converse. Tis rather good. :D
-
Elbow
haha thought you'd like that one V ;)
-
Your all crush band
Pretty much all of The Coral apart from the drummer, so that I could have Silas Graae on drums and then have Tom Meighan on vocals. Oh, and I'd have to throw Miles Kane in there too somewhere, he'd have to play the tambourine ;) And a very young looking Ian Brown, before his face went all craggy, looking pretty and doing a Bez-dance in the corner. I'd pay good money to see that :wacky:

Elbow
Jools Holland is on in an hour. BBC1. Elbow are on, playing Open Arms  Here's Fugitive Motel from the same show back in 2003. Can I just say...Guy = Rawwwr! :sweatdrop: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUrT9_UrN_w]YouTube - Fugitive Motel by Elbow at Later... with Jools Hollland[/ame]

Biffy Clyro
from twitter. :wacky: I'm not going to say anything about the fact that all three of them would easily fit in that bed together :sneaky:

The Coral
Yeah, altho your average boy band probably has slightly better lyrics. :P Liam Fray is far from being the Northern poet he thinks he is
-
