  6. I think you may enjoy this vid Noemie ;) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4rTDdYBGFA]YouTube- The Coral - In The Rain (Live with Noel Gallagher)[/ame]
  7. haha Funny  Nice to see them having fun ;)
  8. Have you heard any of the others? The rest of their stuff is nothing like Ferreting really.
  9. Ferreting's awesome :awesome:
  10. ^ True that. :) Ooooh there's a great little quote from Noel Gallagher about The Coral... "The Coral are so far ahead of their time and their peers it's a joke. The best band of their generation by a very long mile" - Noel Gallagher I love him for that :D
  11. Yep, John Power's Cast. I only have All Change from 1995, has some good singles on it, it's very Brit-poppy. I haven't heard much of their other stuff. And yeah, it'd have to be Mavers/Powers together to make a decent comeback imo. But then there's been a few La's resurrections, it never really seems to take off for them tho :( Oh and Noemie, if you like checking out Noel's reccommendations, try The Coral too. Noel LOVES them :D
  12. Right, well...I've been thinking of starting a Coral thread for a while. Was hesitant cos I figured it'd just be me, talking to myself.... but anyway, gonna bite the bullet & give it a go, see if there's anyone (anyone?) else who loves 'em like I do, even just likes 'em a bit, maybe has one of the albums, or even has only ever heard Pass It On....? Wikipedia describes them as Some vids.... Dreaming Of You (someone must have heard this one before!) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRy8N1P1EUI]YouTube- The Coral - Dreaming Of You[/ame] Put The Sun Back [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moBL_-3x-TY]YouTube- The Coral - Put The Sun Back[/ame] More Than A Lover (current single) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGc290zfQgA]YouTube- The Coral - More than a Lover[/ame]
  13. You're in desperate need of a spell checker...... :P
  14. well, I'm old enough to remember the album coming out (and buying it on cassette tape ;) ) & hearing There She Goes and the other singles on the radio all the time. The La's, The Stone Roses, The Wonder Stuff, James, Kingmaker - there were lots of bands like that at the time that were a perfect antidote to all the dance/acid/house type music that seemed to be everywhere then. I guess it was bands like that that shaped my musical tastes pretty early on :D So, do you guys like Cast aswell then?
  15. It's almost white. He does look actually look like God
  16. grrrr triple post
  17. arrrgh double post 'kay, let's put some more vids up them... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8JZHiCeADQ]YouTube- The La's- There She Goes[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4QBcdmn30I]YouTube- The La's - Liberty Ship (audio only)[/ame]
  18. ^ well there's really only their debut album and a bunch of rare demos/bsides to listen too really, they were quite a short-lived but fairly inspirational band at the time. Son of A Gun is a good 'un. Plus there's more on youtube. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np4mAy-HlmQ]YouTube- The La's - Son of a Gun (audio only)[/ame] My god, their album will be 20 years old this November :o That makes me feel old. Noemie, how did you get into them?
  19. Ahhhh yes, Paul Weller. Yes, I read that too somewhere else...and forgot... :laugh3:
  20. Ooooooh La's fans...! :D That album is incredible. Liberty Ship and Doledrum are brilliant, and of course There She Goes is a total classic. Love that album. I'm really looking forward to a Noel solo album. And I'd love to see more colloraborations with him and other people. I read somewhere about him drumming for another artist. The article didn't say who only that it was "someone I've thrown up with" hahaha that narrows it down Noel
