  1. It was kinda stormy in Amsterdam, but back in Denmark I found snow and a rare wind-free day. It was nice to feel the fresh breeze again (-3 C here)
  2. :D The glow is opaque after 15 hrs travel and lack of sleep....but im nursing myself to full strength soon again :wiseguy: "Leo glow" to re-appear on the old continent...in the very near future hehe
  3. Thinking Im flying back to Europe tomorrow
  4. Heat´s really cool, I agree haha Enjoy your concert :D
  5. Army of One (X Marks the Spot)

Both her voice and the way she delivers the song (or anything she sings) is quite unique imo. No matter what she sings, she always gets my attention. And also she is so very sincere and it certainly can be seen and heard! Also I love he interviews...she is hilarious haha Reminds me a lot of Jennifer Lawrence: another staggering talent coupled with extreme down-to-earthed-ness :)

I agree with @gai here. I dont think its ridiculous to see criticism of Adele anywhere, including a Coldplay forum :) (though Im not sure what posts you were referring to about her being manufactured? Guess I must have missed that). I have heard her album 25 and very much like 21 I do like quite a few songs I will probably buy. I think she is brilliant, however her music style (100% ballads) makes it so that I would not buy an entire album, let alone listen to it from start to finish. Its just too many ballads for me hehe I do and have listened to AHFOD from start to finish many times, not because its necessarily a better quality music than Adele (I think her songwriting and collaborators do a wonderful work), but because its varied both in musical genres and lyrical themes.
  8. That video even if short was so cool! I LOVE the stage layout and the colours. You can see how nervous and excited they are. I had no idea this was a special Superbowl, on top of the usual pressure haha Im sure each video will get me more and more excited ! :D
  9. Speak for yourself *LOL* I cant wait to hear Hymn live with Beyoncé :D :D
  10. Thinking that I can hear her speak to me through Lana´s songs....thats why I love them so.

Excellent! Thanks for that info :)

^^ I agree :) I just never heard the expression "pick your orange field", so not sure if its an idiom or if its just from Chris own dictionary *lol*
  13. A classic...one of my favourite lyrics too.
  14. Haha well I wud not blame you for wanting to disappear *lol* I have heard quite a few stories about people winning big sums and losing friends. Money can have the weirdest effect on people! Reminds me of that movie..."It could happen to you", have you ever seen it? :)
  15. Oh wow you think everyone you know will hunt you because you won? hehe I think my friends wud not act differently towards me, but I guess the true test of friendship is equally when you´re in need as when you´re suddenly a millionaire haha
  16. There is a photo of the winner holding the ticket circulating on twitter, but Im thinking it must be a fake.
  17. I think it was pretty exciting that A: somebody actually won and B: that it was so close to where I am haha :)
  18. Probably! Im not sure if they officially announce the winners here in CA? Whoever it is, I hope they stay anonymous. Having that amount of money all of a sudden can be in some ways a burden as well. I´d keep it under wraps hehe
  19. Well I already am a winner...Im incredibly blessed in my life in all ways possible :D But to answer your specific question, Im not the one who bought that winning ticket hehe :) I ´m curious to see who it is! Im glad it was in CA :)
  20. 6th richest! Oh dear....and yes I saw that. Its less than 30 miles from where I am haha
  21. As a musician and a songwriter myself I can say that some songs come easy, some you have to work longer to "get them out", but in both cases it takes work and commitment to record and write the polished version. So I totally agree with the praise for artists of any kind really...in my book they are all to be praised because they are using a special talent definitely not everyone has. As for critics being objective, yes I think most try to be...but I think most fail in their attempt. I dont know..I find that a lot of reviews I read say more about the critic than the work being reviewed. X Marks the spot was recorded in a 10 minute take or something if I remember correctly! :) I love it though. I also remember Noel Gallagher saying most of his songs he writes in less than 20 minutes hehe
  22. Anyone in the US bought a Powerball ticket? I´d never bought one, but I thought why not :) If anything I can keep the ticket as a souvenir! hehe I only ever saw the draw in movies...lol. It will be nice to see it live :)

I was musing on this part "down upon the canvas, working meal to meal waiting for a chance to pick your orange field" Im unsure about the exact meaning of the "pick your orange field" part. I think the gist of the sentence is an artist who is working "on commission" just to make ends meet (meal to meal), waiting for a break? But is "pick your orange field" an idiom Im not familiar with perhaps?
  24. You put it wonderfully hehe I cud not agree more. So true. I totally agree. I guess it all goes back to the fact that its easier to believe in cynicism and calculated "moves" than to believe someone is genuinely making something out of their passion for their art (and desire to put up great live shows :). I find critics especially cynical...maybe it comes with the job, who knows.
