Ok slightly paranoid question here....Do you think it matters if you are registered in the list as a country other than the US? Will they send the pre-sale announcement only to the US registered accounts or all accounts? I know..it looks silly even writing it....but you know how it is when you want to make sure you can get those tickets hehe

True, but looking at the colourful stage they are building and imagining the confetti they might use or other stuff, I think it has the potential still to be very colourful and entertaining.

Well...that it is boring to me I agree hehe But that anyone can do it? Im not sure. I think its an art to come up with words and rhymes and make them fit in such a way that you can sing them as hip hop. It does take some skill imo. But yeah I also find it quite boring, simply because you take the "music" out of music :)

Yes that was my conclusion too :) Ultimately I think if we continue this tradition (and I hope we do hehe) we might end up with a pretty fixed set of dates and times: Sat or Sun and alternatively evening US and evening EU hehe

Yes...melodic ! haha I love that song too. You know I do like some hip hop indeed but when it goes too full out rap and very little or insignificant melody it cant hold my attention or interest anymore.

Im not familiar with how often Coldplay sells out their tour dates, but I think its pretty often. So Im not sure they "need" the Superbowl to spur demand for tour tickets , but more to spur demand for the album? I don't know...doesnt seem to me like they would need the extra promo for the tour anyway, but we´ll see. Regardless Im ready to purchase hehe

Hmm not sure its that atypical. There´s also Russian Roulette which resembles it. I find in general Rihanna songs quite melodic. For example I love both the songs she made with Eminem: I usually don't like straight hip hop but I find I do like the song if it has a melodic chorus hehe :)

I like quite a few of her songs too! I cant say the same about Beyoncé though. I did listen to her latest albums but its just too much hip hop/not enough melody so it doesn't appeal to me. But her voice is fantastic so I cant wait to hear her perform HFTW live!

X&Y is the chosen album for this time with 4 votes :) So now...the date. Im thinking this weekend sometime could fit most people? And a time frame around evening CET time (last time we had evening PST time)? Evening Europe time should fit most americans as well (as it would be their morning/early afternoon). Sounds good? @gai could I ask you once more to "wipe" the poll so I can make a new one for the time/date? :)

Danish radio played Hymn a little past midnight today 23 January. Guess it means it's released here as well to the radios today?

Unfortunately both Atlas and Miracles were "commissioned" tracks for movies. And Christmas lights is of course a Christmas song. I'm afraid I only see a decline of extra tracks since Viva but here's to hoping we will have more new songs in this era.

I don't know what they are technically :) I was thinking in terms of new tracks for us. Ghost stories had no new tracks beyond the special edition of the album (the Target one), only a couple of remixes afterwards. The only new track on Mylo was Moving to Mars released with ETIAW. So in terms of brand new tracks we go from 1 in Mylo to zero in Ghost Stories (in terms of new tracks released in conjunction with single releases). We had no special edition of AHFOD with extra tracks so I don't know...I'm not expecting any extra track with any single release this time around. But trust me I'd love to be proven wrong! Hehe :)

I think Ghost Stories really didn't have any B-sides, just extra tracks which were released with the album in the USA (and later on in other platforms/formats). MX had hmmm one proper b-side I guess and some remixes? So Im not wildly hopeful about seeing any b-sides this time around, but Im holding out for record day...they usually release a special vinyl there :)
