I never said that Coldplay need "cheep promo", I was responding to the poster who originally made that statement. I don't think James said he compares himself musically to Chris, just that they happen to resemble on another.

That doesn't make sense. If people are confusing him for Chris, then James doesn't get "cheap promo", Coldplay does.

Don't see the bull terrier resemblance. But they do lookalike. And I like James' music as well.

That wasn't the song he was trying to sound like Coldplay. It was actually "I Think that she knows" the interlude to "LoveStoned". And that one, you can clealry hear the influence.

No, I'm buying them the real copy. It it sexpenisve, but I'm only doing for 4 or 5 of my friends. My own, just a compilation of the songs that I think are THE best from the records, most likely to turn them into fans.

My friends are kind of up in the air on Coldplay, so I've decided to give them all a copy of VLVODAAHF for their birthdays this year, and make a "best of" Coldplay from the first three records. What do you guys think? I don't want to force them to like them, but they have hinted that they would like to get into them. Plus I need people to go with when they tour here, lol!

Dad- has no idea who they are, but he did drive me to the their concert, lol! Mum- doesn't know their songs except for VLV. Thinks I'm in love with Chris. Sister 1- Likes them, went to the concert with me, but hasn't heard any of their albums, only knows their singles. Downloaded "VLVODAAHF" and told me "it's shit". Attempts to beat her up over it were futile. Sister 2- Changes the station whenver they come on and rolls eyes everytime I mention them. Friends: know I love them but are "so-so" about them. I'm trying to convert them so that they'll come to the concert next year.

*sighs* They were so close. Jordin Sparks is in Sydney at the moment, if I see her, I'll smack her on behalf of us. Ditto when Chris Brown comes here.

I was really pissed off that this wasn't available in Australia. It peaked ages ago, at number 2 but it may have gotten t number 1 with a physical release. Plus, how are people like me who don't download singles supposed to support the band?

As I was trying on shoes yesterday for my sister's party, "VLV" came on. I took that as a sign that I had found the right pair. :)

At last night's Law Revue at my uni, the bassist I'm pretty sure was made to look like Chris. He had the jacket, the glasses and the mop of hair. Sadly it was a case of "good from far, far from good". Oh, and one of my best friends said she would really like to go to a Coldplay concert, to which I said "Leave Feb/March open"
