I look forward to U2's album, I defintely think Coldplay's will end up more successful though. It's hard to judge though since we haven't heard the U2 album yet.

He looks angry in the second to last shot. I feel bad that he and his children have to go through this, but we're no better, cause if we didn't have any interest in these pictures then there wouldn't be demand for these photogs to stalk them.

Hits Daily Double counts the sales on the top 50 album chart each week (the numbers aren't exact). Billboard's album chart usually looks very similar. So far Hits Daily Double is over 60% done counting the sales for albums this week and Coldplay comes in at #1 with 576,558. So basically you can think of it like 61% of their first week sales are 576,558...but we don't know yet for sure, in the last 40% of sales counted they might slow down or speed up to 1 million.

Agreed. GPASUYF is my least fav song on AROBTTH, why they chose it as the fourth single, when there were so many other songs 100x better than it, I will never understand.

I think Coldplay has always been influenced by Radiohead, right from the start. Of course that's not a bad thing, as there are many bands out now that seem influenced by Coldplay and there will no doubt be more in the future.

He says some great stuff there, and I definitely agree with what he said about "Violet Hill", that's one of my favorite songs of the whole year so far. This made me want to have a listen to their album, maybe he does know what he's doing. ;)

If we all agreed on everything there'd be no discussion.

I'm a brand new fan. Violet Hill caused me to have a listen to their new album, and I loved it. I remember really liking Square One when I first heard it when it came out.

I don't even know my #1 song for sure, this'll be hard.

I finally heard this in HQ-ish full, and I love it. I hope they have a lot more b-sides for future singles for this album.

Before I had no idea what you guys were on about, but I just listened to the album on speakers for the first time and the sound was awful. It was so distorted, I felt I was listening to a recording done by a cell phone AFTER being burned to a CD. I know they were going for a certain sound, but it just ruined the songs for me. The sound seems to be fine on my iTunes and iPod, I'm definitely going to listen to it from there, from now on.

"Fix You" is just there to me. Not a bad song by any means, but nothing about it sticks out to me. I actually like it live more than on the album. It's just so overrated (IMO) by the general public and some fans.
