I just joined yesterday, and am a new fan. Viva La Vida did it in for me, it's easily my favorite album of 2008 so far, and I'm now looking more into their other albums now. I (HOPE!!!) to see Coldplay on November 3rd live in Detroit. I look forward to continue posting here, so hello everyone!

Coldplay Radiohead INXS Simple Minds Stereophonics

"Light my Fire" is one of my favorite songs ever. I'm currently getting into their self-titled album at the moment.

Coldplay. I like Radiohead, but sometimes it takes awhile for me to really get into a lot of their songs, since they're so atypical. I appreciate how forward thinking they are about the industry, though.

Strawberry Swing, DAAHF, and Violet Hill are all very close, but I went with SS.

Even though I think the album is great, I don't see that many 'singles' from it. List 4 singles you think they should go with for this album. 1. Viva La Vida 2. Violet Hill 3. Lost! 4. Strawberry Swing

I'm surprised to hear that some of you aren't liking the album. I was only a very casual Coldplay fan until this album. I love pretty much every song on the album bar 1 (Reign of Love). It's their best work, in my opinion.

It's probably my least favorite tied with "Reign of Love". Maybe it'll grow.

One of my favorites on the album for sure! It's a grower too, and I agree with the Beatles comment.

!. Both are great, but I like the production more on "Lost!".

It's a great instrumental, maybe it would be a contender for best song on the album if it had vocals over it and was a bit longer...

And it's great to have a non-hiphop/rap/r&b song on top of the US charts for a change.

Congrats to them. I don't think it's the best song on the album or anything, but still a great achievement.
