Doesn't the lead singer of that band sound a bit like Michael Stipe? Or was that another band? :(

So far, we have 'Speed Of Sound' and 'Fix You'. I'm guessing there'll be 4 singles, and I put my money on 'Talk' and 'White Shadows' next.

They are not indie. They are not rock. Definitely not alternative. Coldplay are a pop band I think. Maybe soft-rock, or melodic-rock fits te description.

Coldplay make better albums nowadays, but U2 are the superior live band imo (though Coldplay are ace as well, obviously).

The funniest thing happened about a month ago. I was at a music festival, sitting in the grass. Some geeky looking guy walked by, and suddenly his mobile phone ran. You guessed it, it was the Crazy Frog ringtone. Within a matter of seconds, a couple of people immediately turned towards him and the poor guy litteraly got catapulted with plastic cups with beer. Awesome sight. Guy was soken wet. Man, that really made my day :lol:

I became a fan after hearing 'Shiver' on the some indie radiostation. Then came the 'Yellow' Glastonbury 2000 hype thing, which kept me interested. Loved the Glasto set whilst watching it on TV. Definitely wanted to hear more. Thought they sounded somewhat similar to Travis back in those days, and I really adored Travis around that time. Bought 'Parachutes' on the day of release, along with a copy of the Blue Room EP. Got hooked immediately. Bought every single release since that day, plus the 'Brothers & Sisters' single ofcourse :cool:

That would be a big turnoff. I f*cking hate Bon Jovi :angry:

Yeah, I'm sure they will release a DVD next year or something. Coldplay Live 2006, I think :wink3:
