Well, why is being friends with Jay-Z a bad thing? He's an incredibly talented rapper, and that is not a compliment I give out very often, nor one that most fans of good music will give out and yet he is one of the huge exceptions. The only reason Chris' friendship with him has gotten more press time than his friendship with the boys from Ash is because, unfortunately, Ash isn't terribly popular on this side of the pond. Whereas Jay-Z is one of the biggest names in the industry no matter where you live. And just because Chris likes Beyonce and talks about enjoying her music, do you know who he'll still say Coldplay's music sounds like and will continue to sound like? Radiohead. Those are the two points I found most ridiculous, but y'know, everyone is entitled to their opinions, you all just can't get mad when people try to argue them. Especially not on the internet.

I didn't find out that I was going to this show until a few days ago, my mom surprised me with tickets when I got here for my yearly visit to California! SO EXCITED! They're lawn seats, so I'm going to drag her around the left side to make sure we get as close as possible to the C stage. Just a few more hours!

So... have you been completely ignoring most of this thread? Do you realise that a lot of what Satriani is claiming doesn't really make sense? Or that he clearly wasn't the first person to use that riff? Or the fact that Coldplay probably isn't allowed to say anything at the moment because EMI is surely working night and day right now to handle it their own way? Or that they're not going to 'admit to what they've done' because, hey surprise, maybe they didn't steal anything?

I know I promised a review the minute I got home, but my head is killing me, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow! I only just got in, the concert was by far the most amazing show I've ever been to. I was really far back, like two rows away from the very back of the floor, but I was on the end of my row and the boys ran RIGHT past me and up the stairs directly next to me for their acoustic set, I was just a few steps away basically, so I've got an incredible video of The Scientist for you all tomorrow :D

After a ton of drama that almost resulted in me not getting the tickets, I can finally say, I'M SEEING COLDPLAY TONIGHT! I've got floor seats somewhere, not great ones but definitely not horrible ones. Besides, I'm pretty tall, I should be okay ;) I'll post a review the minute I get home!

Haha, wow. I like the curls more than I like the shaved head, but it's not like he's doing anything to please us/piss us off or anything. Chris is a grown man and he can cut his hair how he wants and honestly, why should he have to listen to what anyone wants him to do? That said, boy is looking fine with that shaved head. I was sort of surprised when I first heard, but once we got the pictures? Couldn't care less.

Is it bad that I just want pictures now? To see how Chris looks with his new, ahem, hair?
