Guy isn't shit And I know there are talented bassists, it's a JOKE I think Guy has a few good bass parts, but mostly, yeah, he has very simple easy parts. That's not saying he doesn't contribute much, they just prefer an acoustic/piano driven sound And don't forget Benj Gershman, from O.A.R. Not well known but he can really add a lot to any song

No don't worry. It's that all the other members of the band are thinking those things, and the only thing going through the bassist's mind is his entire bass part E notes and A notes. Implying the bassist is stupid plus has a very simple bass part.
