  1. I heard people doing viva's ooooooOOooOoh's even on the skytrain... now I'm hearing phantom crowd OooOoooOh's... not sure when I'll be able to get to sleep lol.
  2. Same!! I wasn't expecting to be this blown away. I have seen some AMAZING acts, but just the fact that they managed to get that kind of energy from everyone...was just wow. not a dull moment, eh?
  3. Oh and I think someone mentioned, but the dancing roadie, is freakin brilliant. He got everyone laughing and cheering and pumped up for the show. During the classical peice that came next, people were dancing ballet-style, gesturing like they were in an orchestra, etc, really letting loose, not worried about looking silly at all. too often I get the feeling during shows in Vancouver that the crowd is just too self conscious to participate and let loose. Not here at all, and I think some of the credit goes to the fabulous break dancing skills of that sexy roadie.
  4. No, I don't think there were any setlist changes. I didn't write the songs down, but I did look over the setlist before I went and I pretty well knew which songs I'd hear, and those are the ones I heard. No new songs thrown in.
  5. Security barely glanced in my purse. I had a camera tucked away, but he just had a little peak inside, didn't even move anything around, nothing. Just a half second glance.
  6. HOLY SHIT, just got home, that was freaking AMAZING! Never have I seen a Vancouver crowd so enthusiastic and into the show!! Snow Patrol did an amazing job of warming up the crowd, (ive never seen an opening act be able to actually get more than 20 or so people standing, I think almost everyon stood near the end of Snow Patrol's set) Chris had the crowd in the palm of his hand. EVERYONE stood up for the entire show, there was tons of cheering and singing. My boyfriend, who isn't really a fan of their recorded music had tons of fun and said that the show was so much more lively than he expected from a Coldplay show. And oh boy was it ever lively!! I'm just so impressed and SO glad I get to see them again tomorrow!! For whoever said Chris had scary clown hair - I thought he looked delicious. LOL. Sadly, you wont see any pics from me, since as it turns out, my camera is a total peice of crap or I accidentally messed up the settings on it. Even when the lights were up I couldnt get an in focus picture of myself. There were a few references to the filming, saying of all the places where they could film a concert, they decided to pick Canada again ... so who knows what it'll be for, but it seemed the way he was talking it would be released. I'm not sure where they were handing out the free CD's but me and my bf didn't get one... how were those handed out? we saw people holding them, but never saw anyone giving any out! Oh well, hopefully I can get one tomorrow!
  7. So even though small cameras are apparently allowed according to the june 21st thread, I'm still scared about bringing my shitty little digital camera in. I have no choice now though really, I'm at the office and am heading straight to the concert when I finish here rather than home. I've hidden it in a side pocket and stuffed that pocket with feminine hygeine products, in hopes of deterring a security guard from probing the bag any further. :laugh3: Think that should work, or do I really not have anything to be afriad of anyway?
  8. i still have one spare ticket for this show. Row 26 Floor! Will basically just take best offer for it at this point.
  9. Definitely tongue-in-cheek compliment a la Vancouver Straight. It's an 'alternative' paper of sorts, and everything said about Coldplay was rather nice. I mean, usually if a paper is going after Coldplay they don't call Satriani a "perma-wanking penis with ears who never played one note when he could splooge out 20" and Chris a "a decent human being" who is honest to a fault and charitable. one tiny jab at Apple's name is nothing to be too angry about, the writer is definitely more on Coldplay's side. :)
  10. my listing for June 20, Vancouver show. https://www.stubhub.com/coldplay-tickets/coldplay-vancouver-general-motors-place-canada-hockey-place-6-20-2009-808372/?ticket_id=194054591
  11. If anyone here wants to go to both shows and wasn't lucky enough to get tickets for the SATURDAY show in Vancouver, I'm selling a 28 row floor ticket, and possibly also a 26 row floor ticket as I now have better seats to the show thanks to my lovely boyfriend. I posted this in the sell tickets thread but I figured more people from Vancouver could see it here. Also, I'm up to selling for below face value, it's negotiable, but just PM me for more details. And see you all Sunday!!! WOOT
  12. Yeah, I think I posted earlier a link to some forum full of people who had been screwed over by Tracy's business practices... her gyms are geared towards the rich, so she owes some people thousands. There were also quite a lot of attacks on her character and health-habits there...who knows if any of that is true or if people are just mad that they were conned out of money, but she's definitely not someone I would trust with a few grand. I really highly doubt she will mess up any of Madonna's or Gwyneth's finances though. I think she always set her sights on mingling with a celebrity crowd so I don't think she would go and ruin what she has now. Really doubt her celebrity clients are in any danger. As far as her program being so 'amazing'... If you're working out HARD for 2 hours a day, then you've burned probably about 1000-1200 calories. Of course you can lose loads of weight that way and still eat many of the foods you like... I prefer to make my workouts more time efficient though...so I do a lot of whole body exercises that work many muscles at a time, and combine cardio with strength training by doing bootcamp style classes. And doing an hour a day has resulted in a significant decrease in my weight and body fat. I don't think her program is the magic it's made out to be. She took some women who were already pretty slim and toned them. You can see the results easily on them because they already were small to begin with and didn't have a ton of fat to shave off.
  13. Hi all! My bf's friend has offered us better tickets than the ones we currently have for the Vancouver June 20th show! So I now have 2 floor tickets I don't need. One is Row 26 and the other is row 28. Just looking to recoup the face value of the ticket, PM me if youre interested in one of the tickets and we'll see what we can arrange. =)
  14. wooo! my bf just scored us a ticket upgrade for the june 20th show! now im row 20 floor, seat 21 so pretty well dead-centre!
  15. Wonder if he's got what I got after I started running (also in bad shoes), Piriformis Syndrome. 2 months of stretching and not running and it still bothers me sometimes and I'm not back to running yet =\ Im sure he'll be all repaired up for next year though if that's what he's got (and hopefully I will be too! :P)
  16. i think there's also some people who are born loving the camera, and some who are born hating it. Someone like me would have a horrible time as a celebrity kid as I have *always* hated the camera. Even now, if you randomly pull out a camera at a party to take a picture of me Im like a deer caught in the headlights, I absolutely hate it. My dad has said that I look truly scared when my mom pulls out her camera and starts clicking away. It's not that I think Im ugly either, I just get to feeling so uncomfortable. So when I see that look on Apple's face, I just imagine how I would feel if I were chased by cameramen at any age... not only does she not have any right to privacy as a child, she might truly hate cameras and that kind of attention.
  17. that picture of Apple nearly made me cry, poor kid doesnt deserve to be hounded :( and why are they focusing on getting shots of her kids?? Focus on close ups of Gwyneth if theyre going to chase her, jesus, not her little ones.
  18. yeah but it seems that what youre doing is just trying to provoke people who disagree with you. And what criticism could you possibly add to a Michael Jackson related discussion that hasn't been said a million times over by most media outlets and much of the general public? Nothing new. Not constructive. Just provocation. :inquisitive: Let's not ruin the fun for the people who get to see the MJ shows with this silliness. Anyway Im done responding to posts like yours, there's really no point. It is like Ricky Gervais says equivalent to replying to arguments on bathroom stalls.
  19. Yeah I dont really understand why anything to do with Michael Jackson in the slightest has to turn into just slinging insults at him. Chris was paying him a compliment, why can't we leave it at that? is there some feeling here that theres a need to now balance out the negative/positive in the universe by making tired and obvious jokes about his face and the kid molestation charges? I dunno, no need to be so mean spirited is there? Anyway... I like MJ's older stuff over his newer stuff as well, and its the older material that keeps managing to influence and inspire artists today. He may not be as prolific as he once was, but he's still the guy who made all those hit records and danced amazingly and all that. To anyone who's going to see him, hope you have tons of fun!
  20. double post.
  21. ^ agreed. This will likely be the last chance to see him live, I dont think he's got it in him to tour around the world or anything like that. If I had the money, Id definitely be trying to get my hands on a ticket just so i can see him live once. He's definitely a legend and has had a big impact on pop music, so it's sort of a neat opportunity to see him live. Hopefully Chris gets to go, I'm sure he'll manage to get tickets and don't think he was honestly worried about that, just shocked just like everyone else that he managed to sell out that many dates. Lots of people doubted even that he'd be able to sell tickets these days. I also hear from almost everyone who's seen him in person that he looks a lot better in person than in photos, but anyway, dont think we need to be making any MJ face jokes here as theres enough of that on the internet as is.
  22. Gosh, those poor kids. :( Apple and Gwyn look pretty upset to me there. I have the feeling that if Chris was there there might've been another confrontation with the paps..
  23. omg I love that she included some vegan recipes in her latest GOOP, especially ones including seitan. :D And Im glad Im not the only one with a Veganaise obsession. :D
