Exactly ONE WEEK! :D I was at the used record store today looking for some Snow Patrol and came across a joe satriani(sp) Cd, so I turned it over upside down where you couldn't see his name. Bwa ha ha. But then I realized he's already gotten money from the sale of that CD and the only person I was hurting was the nice guy who owns the store, and I like that guy and want him to have good business, so I turned it back over. But I made my point to the universe, at least.

Not at all. :D Are they dropping confetti still at the outdoor shows? I only have 3 butterflies from November and I'm really hoping to get some more, but the Indy show is at an outdoor auditorium so I'm worried they won't do the butterflies. :\

Anyway, last night in the game thread, a couple of you asked for instructions on making your own set of magnets like the ones I was giving away. And I thought this would be a better place to post that info since the game thread's already getting buried. So, here's what you'll need... The .pdf you can download by clicking >> here << ... it's 8" x 10" because some of the supplies will be that size depending on where you find them. It looks like this but way bigger: (now with Left Right Left Right Left! :D) I've sized these to a bit less than 1 and a half inches, 300 dpi--which is a bit smaller than the ones in the photo but the good thing about that is they all fit on one sheet! :D Next you will need to go to a crafts or scrap-booking store and pick up a laminating sheet, a mounting adhesive sheet, and a magnet sheet. I find it easiest to laminate the printed page first. (do not try to cut them apart and then do all this, for pete's sake. Cut LAST). Lay the laminating sheet sticky side up and carefully roll the paper on. After this it's easy. Remove one side of paper off the mounting adhesive and roll it onto the back of the paper. Then remove the other side of the adhesive and roll the magnet sheet on top of that. Then get yourself a really good set of scissors, or an exacto blade and ruler if you're good at that (I'm not) and carefully cut them apart. If you don't have a good printer at home, put the pdf on a USB key or CD and bring it to Staples or Kinkos or something and have them give you a good print. They're tiny so you want good resolution to make them nice and cute. :3 Yay, magnets! :) edit: Looking at this image makes me think I should make some sort of CP Bingo game next... hm... *scratches chin*

It's Heidi, but even some of my real life friends call me Novah so I'll answer happily to either. ;) Did you go to med school too? I only did the one semester as part of my graduate program. I don't think I could have survived all four years. In fact I'm almost certain I wouldn't have! I scraped through that first semester by the skin of my teeth! Truly, it was so close point wise, even a couple more wrong on that final exam and... ugh, I shudder to think about it. :S

^^^ coldplay_is_louve, I think your cat wants to go to the concert with you. ;) teee :sigh: Well, I cracked. My haitus ended last night, 10.5 days early, at about 1 am. Back in med school I used to study in my sleep and then wake in a panic because I couldn't remember the three branches of the trigeminal nerve (or whatever). I couldn't fall back to sleep until I turned on the light, grabbed my book, and looked up the answer. Maybe it was because of the game I put together last night, but I awoke in a start after a couple hours of sleep last night because I couldn't remember the melody to Postcards From Far Away! I tried to play the last stanza of Life in Technicolor ii in my head to recall it but nothing worked. I tried to sleep but I was just tossing and turning. (talk about an obsessed fan with serious withdrawal...) So finally I reached over for my iPod, just to listen to the first few notes and then I was going to turn it RIGHT off. Well, I ended up listening to the entire thing. And then I listened to Strawberry Swing after that, and let me tell you... it was the sweetest forbidden fruit. :D I've never heard anything so good. So there we go. I officially admit to the forum that I am weak and have failed, but I'd challenge any one of you to make it as long as I did :p (3 and a half days :S)

Aww. :blush: Well, I'm glad you guys had fun, and I learned how to do timed movie clips in Flash. (I really did learn a lot of good Actionscript today ;))

I can do that! I'll post the pdfs tomorrow (they're at work where the good printer is) with instructions. I should be able to send out magnets to the top three winners: Lore, Aleluvscp, and Prospekt if I change them to be 1" x 1" ... maybe bigger! I'll have to see how many I can squeeze onto a single page. :) And I'll have to print them up after the boss has gone home. :inquisitive:

I'd love to say MAGNETS FOR EVERYONE but, well... I guess I could make them /smaller/... >.> I'll see how many I can fit onto a single sheet. Supplies cost about $7 per sheet and I needed two to make the whole set... maybe I can figure something out. I'll let you know tomorrow how many runners up I can send magnets to. ;)
