  1. :D + CP pilgrimage, singing VH on Parliament Hill (the man who's tired of London... ^^), the roadie making jokes about pizza (piiiicks! :p), being face to face with G, Peter and Tom at the end (was so intimidating!) seeing G's cab drive past us and disappear (so cliché)... Two weeks already... I wanna go back in time! beautiful
  2. Yes, one of the best lyricist of his generation! I guess their struggle towards success is what made them so close to their audience  I know both of the videos, that gig must have been so great! :smug: (he was supposed to give a free gig at the Louvre last June, but the request was denied by city hall - or something like that...) Those lyrics are killing me... I'll always remember the live performance, I just couldn't take my eyes off of them... (met Lisa's eyes a couple of times, so intimidating...) That song's one of my fav moment as well! ^^ Attending a U2 gig at a stadium is something to do at least once in one's life!.. The singing crowd makes it all even more impressive! Yeah, Lenny!
  5. I've come upon their myspace very recently, and I think they're great! I'm sure they're even better live! Living In Colour is my song of the moment :) [ame= ] [/ame]
  6. Yes it is, agent M! ;) The part with the bra is hilarious! They know how to entertain their audience! :p This gig was a real revelation to me. I already loved SP, but seeing them live gave another dimension to their music, they are just amazing! Very generous, kind and adorable with their fans! "Shut Your Eyes" was one of my fav part of the concert! ^^ Tom Smith has an amazing voice, and this "duet" with Gary on the guitare was perfect! This song is heartbreaking  Here are some funny/epic/emotional moments from the gigs I went to this year. The Cranberries, shared with Cam and Mounira. Great atmosphere, so close to the band, and infected by Cam's enthousiasm of course ^^ "Dreams" was one of my fav moment, first because I love the song, and it was the last one, so everyone just went crazy on it! I can still picture Moun & I jumping up and down :) Mika was a good surprise! It's not a gig, it's a real show!.. with many people on stage (musicians, choristes and fans, wearing costumes and playing extras ^^) A 2h30 long gig full of magic, with an audience on fire, playing with sticks, balloons and confettis :p Snow Patrol, a shared memory with Aurélie... amazing gig! the setlist was close to perfection to me, and it was great to see them in a rather intimate venue! (+ first meeting with A... and Gary! ;)) It may be a little 'cliché' to choose those two songs, but Chasing Cars and Run will always make me shiver live  Tired Pony is the most unique concert I've ever witnessed! Everything about it was magical... being in London, in a small and very intimate venue, with a bunch of very talented musicians, and breathtaking songs... :bigcry: All the gig was about complicity: between the members of the band, between the band and the audience... I had the best of time, and it was great to share it with Aurélie  I have to post Get On The Road again, most emotional part of the show for me, the video speaks for itself  Here's a close-up of Point Me At Lost Islands acoustic... most surrel moment, so epic! XD And I'd like to add Your Bible, this song's growing on me, and with it G managed to get us on our feet and "shake our asses" ^^
  7. The issue promises to be good! :smug: Just wow! And here's ten minutes from the rest of the session: [ame= ] [/ame] :)
  8. I knew he was acting surprised, but I couldn't remember what answered  (was so impressed to have him in front of me!) Ha.Ha.Ha! The interviewer is totally right on this one! :laugh3: (now singing SP's "I'm An Astronaut": I am a polar bear, I am a polar bear, I am anything I want to be when nobody else is there, like a gorilla, he’s a real killer, yeah :smug:)
  9. The band himself must be a bit confused about it all, if I remember well, Peter Buck looked a bit surprised to see Aurélie's booklet and mine when we asked him to sign it... (@A: I'm talking about the moment when you told him we'd bought it in France)
  10. didn't see it that way... :\ it's gonna be hard to "bear with it" (as G would say ;))

Perrine, you saw Mika?! That's cool! Glad you enjoyed yourself! :) I rarely listen to him, but I saw him in Paris (Bercy) a few weeks back in April, and it was a real surprise! He's so great live, and his concert is a real show! They're all having so much fun on stage, it's very infectious! ^^ Naughty audience  (where did you see him btw ?)
  12. If everything goes as planned, next year will be a busy one, with CP, SP & TP ! (what's with all the Ps? :p)
  13. I love this song! nice comparison ;)
  14. Yep, sometimes it's good not to overthink stuff and just go with the feelings, and TP has understood it perfectly ;) (I don't think CP will ever make an album in just a few weeks, they seem to like to tale their time :p) I won't blame him for that! :) And according to the TP interview posted by Anna, if the schedules of both REM & SP enable it, we could also have another chance to see him live with TP! ^^
  15. Thank You Anna!! watching it right now! ^^ --- edit --- Quoting Peter: Yes! Please work it out! :D Let's just hope that their schedules will enable them do to it! ;)
  16. By all means, do finish it in six weeks, G! You would make us the happiest fans on earth! :smug:
  17. Aw, the blue shirt! (as in: each of us got to touch the blue shirt! :p) Thank you Anna! especially with all the trouble you went through for it  Guys, it is gonna be so hard to wait til next year for the next album...
  18. the "what dress-code memo?" must happen a lot... but it's part of his charm! ^^ (well, fortunatelyhe really improved on that point :p) Love the pose he's doing in the pic, we could add so many captions! "What?"
  19. Thx for the scan! I like his nickname! :smug: and that's why I enjoy watching them on stage so much! ;)
  20. couldn't really see Richard either... had a couple in front of me, they often leant toward each other to say some things (and blocked my view of G... ><) and the woman had a really high ponytail!... (she lowered it during the gig though) I had filmed the drummer of Jonkil during one of his solo, but had to delete it later in the night to make some space for TP :/ I also read it in the SP board, and it was quoted elsewhere as well... You can quote him in every situation anyway!^^ "artist of the century", yeah!)
  21. That is so true! :smug: (I definitely left a part of my mind in London... ^^) Yeah, we were wandering throuth the alleys of the store, and the three books were set next to each other, as if waiting for Moun! :p Yes, it's amazing "how well you can play music when you're 9!" Jonkil was kinda good by the way, good enough to warm-up the crowd before TP anyway ^^! (the guitarist at the right of the stage made me think of young J.Buckland, especially with the way he moved) what an interesting way to see things  Can you ever get bored with?.. I don't think so!! XD
  22. me too! :p it was like having the band playing in one's living-room... priceless! ^^ well, it's gonna hard to compete with it  I'm willing to do plenty of gigs to compare though, I cannot get enough of music! ^^ Reminds me of the "special bookshelf" that Moun would have loved at the HMV: if I'm correct, it was Dave Grohl /Muse /Greenday ;) Btw, I know there's a story going with the V Festival, DG was in the crowd, and at the end of one song, Gary dedicated it to him, so DG went on stage and they hugged. Didn't managed to find the video though...
  23. ça pour en sortir! mais au moins en concert ça fait passer le temps entre les chansons! :D
  24. we're gonna have to stay tuned and see what it was all about :) @A: the live version is so much more powerful than the album version :wacky: and it's the case for every songs!
