Exactly. And each and every track on EL is less generic and more meaningful than SJLT. I think it is their worst song, next to X Marks the Spot and Army of One. Can't stand the three... For what it's worth, we still have something that is soulful and honest like this album from the boys (a tad lazy at times but still) and the world can have their 'ultramegagiga famous top 40 Coldplay'... sigh...

This makes me a bit sad. To officially call Coldplay 'standard pop' and it is just 100% true. I will never get over how commercial they are now... So it's like, they have to 'justify' their status now and Everyday Life is just a passer-by thing...

Anybody else bothered by the sample in Trouble in Town? It kinda ruined the song for me that guy swearing is super annoying and sounds forced... it’s basically one minute of fuckshitfuck I mean I get the point but it kinda ruined a beautiful song...

You are focusing on this word way too much. What I meant was that it's ridiculous, and shows that there is no real recognition of quality. Sorry for taking music a bit more seriously than "shake shake shake it out". Call me an elitist, for all I care, but I believe that the world has truly stopped caring about getting quality, they only get what they are served so blindly, it disgusts me.
