  2. Anyone want to correct the title of the thread cause I feel like this :dizzy2: when I see it every day..............
  3. I'm gonna see THE F***ING CHEMICAL BROTHERS in ONE MONTH!!!!!!  :D
  4. +1 ! Je veux les mêmes !! :D Quand on voit l'ambiance féérique on comprend comment ils arrivent à créer des chansons comme Christmas Lights...
  5. Amazing pics Corkus!!!! Thanks for sharing them! :)
  6. +10000000000000 The National are AMAZING. Their album 'High Violet' has been listed amongst the best albums of 2010 by lots of magazines (like NME). A famous French radio journalist/critic (who were amongst the first people to discover The National a few years ago) says they are "the greatest band on Earth". :) Your tracklist is amazing btw. Max Richter  ('On The Nature of Daylight' is amazing, especially the one featuring Dinah Washington)
  7. Here's my review. THANK YOU to the person who made the tape, I really enjoyed listening to it! I actually listened to it several times. It was the first time I heard most of the songs and I find it impossible to judge a song at first hearing. I LOVE discovering new stuff so this was definitely very fun for me!! :) Track 1 - Sounds a bit like Fool's Gold or Yeasayer. I like the rhythm and the voices (singing a bit like a choir). Track 2 - Sounds a bit like Vampire Weekend. I like the voice. It's a good song. Would be even better if the drums wouldn't go that fast! :D Track 3 - Ok I'm just dancing on my own right now, yaaayyyyy!!! Really catchy. Love it! But I have no idea what it is. Track 4 - This one's also catchy, but it sounds like disco from the 80's or 90's (maybe it's not!) - I'm not a big fan, but it's a good song. Track 5 - No idea what it is. Not my style though (R&B style?). ;) Track 6 - Ok this one sounds even older than track 4 (from the 60's maybe?). Interesting song, but I don't like that kind of voice. Track 7 - I'm sure I've already heard that one, but I can't remember what it is. I really like it! Amazing "lalalalalaaa" and great violin at the end of the song ;) Track 8 - LOVE the guitar!!! Beautiful. No idea what it is. Tracks 9 + 10 + 11 - Cute songs, slower rhythm. Not very original, but nice to listen to. Track 12 - More interesting one. Interesting mixture with the repetitive melody of the guitar and the voices. Track 13 - Like the tracks 9 10 11 ;) Track 14 - If this is not Beach House, it's Beach House's twins!!! :D I haven't listened to their album in a long time so I don't remember every song. LOVE them!! :) Track 15 - Regina Spektor? Great piano, amazing voice. Like really REALLY amazing. I love the song. :) Track 16 - Song to relax and sleep. Great choice for a last song on a album. ;) Sorry if this was a bit short, I'm actually not very used to reviewing songs! I don't know, I find it a bit hard to find the proper words to describe them (especially in English). Thanks again for making the tape! I can't wait to know the name of the artists I liked and listen to their work. :)
  8. iTunes sucks. Just saying. :D Use another program? Not an Apple one. ;)
  9. YAY! So many reviews!! I'm downloading mine right now, can't wait to hear it and review it! :)
  10. I finally finished my mixtape and sent it to ivet. I'm SO SORRY for the person who had to wait... :\ I couldn't remember anything from the last mixtape I made, last July. I spent like 2 hrs trying to figure out how to delete the infos of the songs...tried iTunes, didn't work, tried windows media player, didn't work, and I finally managed to do it with Winamp (and it was so easy and I got so mad for not having tried it sooner...!!!) Anyway... I hope the person who'll get it will like it! :)
  11. I read 4pm and thought it was 4pm GMT.... :dozey: #FAIL :dozey:  Thanks! *releived* :)
  12. Don't shoot me!!! I'm finishing my mixtape now (I've already warned ivet with a PM this afternoon) and I'm SO SORRY for being late!!!!!!!!! :embarrassed: Doing the best I can. Will finish it ASAP (between 30 min - 1hr) :\
  13. Cool vos commentaires ! A bientôt :)
  15. THIS deserves to be read. More than once, actually. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I totally agree with what you said. I don't know if you're planning on commenting on that NME article on their website, but IMO it'd be worth it. If you're not, I might use some of your ideas/expressions (if I have your 'blessing') to write a comment myself. :)
  16. I guess it probably depends on whether or not they are all stuck in bed with a nasty cold because of the shooting of the video in the cold until 3 am....!!! ;)
  17. Well, they have to pay for all the champagne and caviar and everything you had on the boat, don't they?!?? (yeah, we know why you had to sign 'disclosure agreements'...) I don't agree. I'm no expert in Christmas songs....but...Hurts, for instance, are releasing a Christmas song this year and it's gonna be free on iTunes. AND the song is amazing, too. (IMO) :smug: But they're young and not that famous yet, maybe that's one reason... ;)
  18. SUPER SEXY :D
  20. Would we have to buy it on iTunes only? Cause that would be....sad. :\
  21. Exactly. :wink3: :D
  22. I loved the song but some people at NME apparently didn't... I thought the article was interesting. And...kinda funny, actually. :D Bands! Stop With The Crap Christmas Songs Already By Luke Lewis Posted on 03/12/10 at 09:49:53 am And so this is Christmas. Except it isn't. Christmas isn't for bloody ages, and yet here we are already, drowning in seasonal releases of varying degrees of gaucheness, gormlessness, and gloopy sentimentality. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1rYmzQ8C9Q]YouTube - Coldplay - Christmas Lights[/ame] What is it about this time of year that convinces otherwise serious-minded bands to bash out a festive tune - to curl out a Yule log, as it were? Obviously there's a magnificent canon of existing Christmas songs - Darlene Love's titanically exciting 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Come)' is one of my all-time favourite songs full stop. continued... But the festive tracks we've been hearing lately are not part of that tradition. They're novelty records. It's the time of year when every musician rummages around the dusty recesses of his/her B-side drawer, finds a half-formed idea and thinks, 'Pfft, that'll do. Can you get sleigh bells in Pro Tools?' Hurts can do no wrong in my eyes, but their Christmas song is testing my loyalty, since it's an alarmingly slight, Stock, Aitken & Waterman-esque confection, complete with clanging church-bell chimes of doom. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ct9oN6bjo9M]YouTube - Hurts All I Want For Christmas is New Years Day[/ame] Then there's Coldplay's dreary 'Christmas Lights' with its overcooked Yuletide imagery ("Chandeliers of hope", anyone?). Similarly downbeat is The Killers' 'Boots', which conforms to the post-Low diktat that requires all "indie" Christmas songs to be massively depressing. This month also sees the release of a Moshi Moshi Christmas EP, as well as festive tunes from The Futureheads, Tegan & Sara, and The Walkmen. Meanwhile, the less said about Goldie Lookin' Chain's 'Dubstep Christmas' the better - it's about as funny as a Boxing Day bereavement. Now, I'm no curmudgeon - well, obviously I am a bit - but there's a serious point here: "Christmasiness" is a precious and evanescent thing. No-one knows exactly what it is (though feeling like a kid has a lot to do with it), but they know it when they feel it, and they know they like it. People spend the whole of December stumbling round in a mulled wine-blurred trance, saying to each other: "Do you feel Christmassy yet?" "I don't know, do you?" "I thought I did, for a second, but it might have been heartburn. Eggnog, anyone?" What Christmassiness most definitely isn't, is a commodity that can be hammered into the ground for weeks on end. It's a fleeting thing, to be savoured for a few days, max. Preferably when you've finished work/uni/school and you're back home, sprawled on the sofa, watching Scrooged. Any earlier than December 20 and you're ruining it. By all means let's enjoy the nationwide festival of round-the-clock alcohol abuse that is a British Christmas. But let's at least get the timing right. And bands? If you must pen a Christmas tune, try not to make it suck beyond belief. 23. Toi, quelque chose me dit que tu n'as pas d'iPhone... :D :D Bienvenue au club ;)
  25. J'ai pas reçu le Coldplay Messengeeeeeeeeeeer...................... :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: La vie est injuste.
