The Damon Albarn thread.
Happy birthday Damon! I'd love to hear a solo album but I don't know, it's not something I need. I think that no matter how many projects Damon can do what I wish the most is that my favorite band gives us a new album. But I agree with you all. The Good The Bad and The Queen is a wonderful album, and I could listen to it everyday of my life.

I like the album cover. It's not going to be easy but I'll wait the official release to listen to the album.

The Blur Thread
It was broadcast on another channel. But you can find videos. I think we all agree to said it wasn't a really good performance. This is a law and Tender were good though (Graham's solo was superb on This is a law) and it was great seeing them together. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KjqagZja_Q[/ame]

Rate the latest movie you've seen
Drive 8,5/10 that movie is very effective and has a beautiful photography. The action scenes are few but effective and the contrast between the kindness of the character and the violence that arises abruptly is just baffling. And the music is perfect.

The Damon Albarn thread.
Hi there! Liz!! It's so great that you'll come to see all these shows! Sure it's going to be intense. Mathieu I'm still jealous that you saw them in 2007! I'll probably be there too for the Good the Bad & the Queen gig but I still have to solve some work issues. Anyway I'll also go to the Honest John show in Marseille and I can't wait to the end of the month. So many Damon in few weeks!!! Can I suggest him not to stop and also bring back blur! :D

The 10th Mixtape Exchange (Tapes due Mon., Aug. 8 @ 5 pm CST (GMT -6))
:curtain: Hello!!! I'm your mixtape maker!!! I'm so happy you are my partner, even if it was a really stressfull time. When Violet sent me the mp with your name I read it 10 times just to be sure. At first I was so excited, full of idea. Maybe too much because I made something like 5 differents tapes and it was never Ok. I made one with songs from your year of birth but I felt that it sound too old, an other one more calm/folk/guitar to fits to your tastes (well from what I know of your tastes) but it wasn't original because it was full of singers/bands you already know. I was completly desperate at the end of the week. I finally choose to put songs I really like and let you know better a part of my actual musical world. As I told you I love all the songs but I wasn't satisfied with the flow and I though it wasn't coherent. Finaly it's over and you don't dislike the tape, you even appreciated some songs. Here the complet tracklist Blur – Intermission (Modern Life Is Rubbish-1993) Scout Niblett – Kidnapped By Neptune (Kidnapped By Neptune-2005) Graham Coxon – Gimme Some Love (Love Travels At Illegal Speeds-2006) Jamie T – Salvador (Panic Prevention-2007) Jacqueline Taieb – 7 Heures du Matin (The French Mademoiselle-1967) Portugal. The Man – Work All Day (The Satanic Satanist-2009) The Field Mice – Sensitive (Snowball-1989) Villagers – I Saw The Dead (Becoming A Jackal-2010) Hey – Mimo Wszystko (Echosystem-2005) Camera Obscura – James (My Maudlin Career-2009) Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan – Come Undone (Hawk-2010) Super Furry Animals – Hello Sunshine (Phantom Power-2003) http://www.mediafire.com/?7bq88a2geciykr2

The 10th Mixtape Exchange (Tapes due Mon., Aug. 8 @ 5 pm CST (GMT -6))
Hi mixtape maker, here is my review :) Track 1 : This is an instrumental song. Just that woman who spells the word « ouverture » really slowly. That the perfect word to open a mixtape but I didn’t really like it. Maybe too repetitive and not enough rythmed. Track 2 : After five listening of this tape I’m sure it’s LCD Soundsystem. I love this song and it’s stuck in my head since Tuesday. I like LCD Soundsystem but I never take the time to really listen. The title of this song is probably "Too Much Love" and I like the lyrics "What will you do when you wake up, fatten you up, fasten you up, fatten you up" My favorite of the tape :awesome: Track 3 : I don't like that song but I think it is Interpol? Unfortunatly I'm not fan of the voice of the singer. There are some band that seem really good but I don't like listen to them because of the voice of the singer (as Elbow, white lie or even Editors):\ Track 4 : Back to a song with a woman voice. I like this one. I already heard the singer voice but I can't find what band/singer it is. Not sure I'll listen to it after that exchange but I really enjoyed it on the tape. Perfect to dance in your room. Track 5 : I'm not into instrumental, only when it comes from bands I know, because I already know their univers. But it's ok and fits well in the tape. Track 6 : Again a really "upbeat" song (I suck at finding the good english word to describe songs). It probably contains 90's house and dance music riffs. There is also a saxophone (or something like that) at the end. I love it. I feel young again :laugh3: And as the LCD Soundsystem song it's stuck in my head. Track 7 : I think it's Hot Chip ? I don't like that song as the previews one but it's Ok Track 8 : No need to listen more than a few second to recognize Phoenix "lasso". I used to like them but I’ve been really disappointed by the last album. But it is still good to listen to that song. Track 9 : I really feel I know that song but have some a sort of amnesia. It's quite unpleasant. Anyway I find it really good. Track 10 : The Kills ! I used to listened to that song few years ago. And sometimes I like to put it in repeat in my car while I'm driving. I didn't listen to the last Kills album but I think I miss something really good. Track 11 : Foals. Really long introduction. I like it. And the voice is so catchy. I just want to dance everytime I listen to that band. I saw them in live in 2009 and I didn't know who they were but I immediatly felt in love with their musics. So I really enjoyed that tape. Rythme and a quite good mixte between femal and male voice. A lot of songs that I already heard but never really listen with attention. So thank you for putting them in the tape. I just regret that there were no slower songs. I'm like an duracel/energizer bunny after listening to your mixtape  So thank you my mixtape maker :), it was a real pleasure to listen to that tape. I really want to know who is behind that tape because I have no idea who it can be. And I also want to know if I really found who sing some of those songs or if I'm completly wrong. And as always I apologize for my not so good english.
