  1. anybody managed to grab ahold of this disc so we can hear the new tracks??
  2. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to type up Snow Patrol's setlist from the show? I don't have to time go through 33 pages, and I was unable to find anything through search. Thanks!
  3. I had a ticket for the concert but a family emergency came up and I had to sell it to a friend... :'( if anybody has a spare, i'd be glad to pay postage :)
  4. thanks man! i don't edit often so i was pretty proud of the result.
  5. The radio edit will just remove the clapping, as the music video version did. The clapping was not meant to be part of the song, Chris said in an interview that they were talking about the song's tempo and were caught off guard when they started recording, hence why you can hear him say "it's a bit too fast" at the beginning. The clapping was just meant to keep the rhythm. In the end, they decided just to leave that bit in the final song. As you can hear in the music video, the dialogue and clapping have been removed from the beginning, and the clapping is gone from the end. However at the end there is now a talking segment that is part of the actual video (and you can also hear a car at the beginning of the song). If you stop the video at the end of the actual song portion, you'll see it's 4:07. So the radio edit will be like the music video version with the car noise at the beginning and the talking at the end edited out. personally, i find this version preferable and will probably replace the album cut with the radio edit in itunes. long enough explanation for you? lol
  6. well it seems we'll never see his upload, so here's my version (it is my own edit of a file uploaded by zemy101 that did not include the outro into cemeteries of london) Life in Technicolor iii: http://www.sendspace.com/file/6rce42
  7. still waiting...
  8. is this a vinyl rip or how was it obtained? it sounds like CDQ
  9. thanks man! this sounds awesome. is it a vinyl rip or what?
  10. sorry to bump up this old ass thread, but i've been trying to find a good quality copy of A Spell a Rebel Yell that doesn't have crackling and doesn't cut off at the end. Can someone send me a PM?
  11. well its not so much a "rearrange this album" thread as it is questioning the artist's choice regarding the EP. Not many people have the acoustic of Lovers in Japan, as it was only available if you pre-ordered it. this would give everyone the chance to hear it. And we all essentially already had the osaka sun mix, i don't think adding 3 seconds of backing chorus to a single point in a song changes anything or constitutes something we haven't heard. If you think it does though, you could always add an extra piano note to the acoustic version :P
  12. Anybody else think that the EP would have been infinitely better if Lost+ and the Osaka Sun Mix had been replaced by Lost? and Lovers in Japan (Acoustic)?? I think it would fit the EP better, give it more of an "all new material" feel, and even sounds great in that spot due to the semi-acoustic songs bookending them. 1) LIT 2 2) Postcards from Far Away 3) Glass of Water 4) Rainy Day 5) Prospekt's March / Poppyfields 6) Lost? 7) Lovers in Japan (Acoustic) 8) Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground and if you like it, i guess you could stick Death Will Never Conquer right before the last song. I actually modified my copy in itunes to look like this, i put the other 2 songs in my B-sides compilation...
  13. most of us already have it :/
  14. I prefer this one, i recreated the album and made a new EP (ps, sorry for the lame titles, couldn't think of anything better) March of la Vida: 1) Life in Technicolor ii 2) Cemeteries of London 3) Lost? 4) 42 5) Glass of Water 6) Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) 7) Yes 8) Rainy Day 9) Chinese Sleep Chant 10) Viva la Vida 11) Violet Hill 12) Death and All His Friends 13) Prospekt's March / Poppyfields 14) Postcards from Far Away 15) Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground 16) The Escapist Viva Prospekt: 1) Life in Technicolor 2) Reign of Love 3) Lost! 4) Strawberry Swing 5) Lovers in Japan (Acoustic) Odd men out: Lost+, Lovers in Japan (Album version), Death Will Never Conquer In this format, even songs with similar themes are grouped together; violet hill/death+friends/prospekt's march seem to be a trilogy telling a story, and their pacing matches perfectly. And the acoustic version of lost fits in the album much better, while Lost! sounds more like a remix of it that serves as the climax of the otherwise mostly acoustic EP. listen to it, you'll see how the songs seem to flow together. Even the transition from the album to the EP sounds cool because the end of escapist and intro of lit sound so similar. Ideally, the intro of LIT would be spliced onto the beginning of LIT2
  15. is that version different? the one i saw in stores had the track listing on the back
  16. so i still can't tell how this is set up... does it unfold again to reveal the discs? is it just dual sleeves? is there any plastic in the packaging or is it pure cardboard? how thick is it?
  17. they are small pics, that's how they were sent :/
  18. hmm i have no idea how to just post it right on here; i guess you could just put em in a folder and put it on rapidshare or something
  19. i would love to see pics too plx
  20. Here is how mine would go (forgive the lame titles): March of la Vida: 1) Life in Technicolor ii 2) Cemeteries of London 3) Lost? 4) 42 5) Glass of Water 6) Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) 7) Yes 8) Rainy Day 9) Chinese Sleep Chant 10) Viva la Vida 11) Violet Hill 12) Death and All His Friends 13) Prospekt's March / Poppyfields 14) Postcards from Far Away 15) Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground 16) The Escapist Viva Prospekt: 1) Life in Technicolor 2) Reign of Love 3) Lost! 4) Strawberry Swing 5) Lovers in Japan (Acoustic) Odd men out: Lost+, Lovers in Japan (Album version) I actually made these into playlists and they sound amazing :) They flow much better than the actual album/EP Ideally, the main album's opening would have the intro from LIT spliced onto the beginning of LIT2; but I don't have the technical prowess to accomplish this feat haha
  21. i don't think its weirder than the killers leaking on kanye lol
  22. well stop refreshing so much its taking me like an hour just to refresh once lol
