  1. Gary posted a new blog note on Inception *w* http://www.snowpatrol.com/forum/default.aspx?cid=28&tid=430607 It's only coming out today in France and since I'm working, i'll only be able to see it staurday, but I've been waiting for this for sooo long, I'm excited  Nolan is one of my fav director, just like Fincher, I've seen all his movies... It doesn't surprise me that Gary loved it, it echoes all those fantastic reviews of this film. I loved when he said: Think about the pitch meeting with the studio heads: “OK, I want to make a genre-humping, philosophical near 3 hour movie about dream thieves”?? Scratched heads all round… “Er, did I say there’d be explosions and Leo DiCaprio”. Ok, fair enough that may have sweetened the deal but still it’s immensely brave. :laugh3: I guess he was not that far from the truth...!
  2. Just vacation pics
  3. Yep! amazing Flo... I have a TZ5 :D, the previous generation. But I put mine on manual, I don't like the automatic setting, the pics kept ending up blurry... So I've put my own settings and my shots are decent. But my optic zoom is not a strong as yours (mine is just x10) and the sound on my vods are crappy (the image is good though....)
  4. Flo's early perf of an Ashok song (her old band)...EPIC! how she keep that note :stunned: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8hPPdxTNww]YouTube- RARE "Pearls and Roses" (Ashok 'Under the Thumb' cover) - Florence and the Machine[/ame]
  5. Someone while we were waiting, someone called for a 'warmer climate' :laugh3: (snow patrol fans can make this go on forever I think...) The A/G chord banter was priceless :laugh3: +1 Nashville would be cool or maybe New Orleans?!! I guess we'll have to wait & see! Don't know the schedule of REM or Belle & Sebastian but i pray they could find a week (since that's they all just need XD) to record in january!
  6. Cool after show ITV!!! (G had his after show shirt :p) http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/10684723 I love what Pete said "My job is to make sure everyone screws it up a little bit - in a good way." He was pretty discrete during the gig but there was a lot of moments were you could sense he was dicting the pace of the songs and get everybody on the same vibe...Very subtle but pretty impressive! Love Gary's comment too on Tom Smith perf of the Good Book, which is my fav track of the album...his voice is so purely raw and powerful in that one.....T.T Time-stopping, I aggre with Gary! And new recording session for next january  They already said they would chose a different american city, I just hope they'll make a more rockier album with more tracks like the new ones we heard at the show (Silver atoms, your bible :awesome: ) Hope they'll put I'll carry you, I can't stop listening to it, it's just too beautiful!!
  7. That review doesn't surprise me as it is basically the general reproof (both press and fans).... A lot of reviewer has warned the band about their 'coldness' on stage, which is beginning to alienate fans... I've never seen them live, so I can't judge... but I know what to expect if I ever see them. I know that Caleb won't be as chatty and warming the crowd as a Gary Lightbody but quite the total opposite (again, ref. to his stress problem when he's on stage). I know that something will be missing on the 'human' side but I'm fully aware of it. As long as the performance is good, I think I would be satisfy. But I can understand why people who don't really know them are disappointed...
  8. I think we tried every spot available  I remember waving at the mysterious photographer, but from what I recall, his hair looked like Iain Archer's... or maybe it was just a roadie?
  9. No, I think I look my age that's just the height that is kid like  For the pic, Gary put his head on mine (I think to minimize the 2 heads of height difference ) so his cheak was leaning on the top of my hair...I remember thinking 'gosh, his head is heavy' :laugh3: but that was cute, I'm not complaining! :P
  10. Congrats for the album! It's a good investment ^^ A brilliant performance of between 2 lungs. The rain, the lightning, her dress...she really liked like a priestress invocating elements! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXl2sKJEzCY]YouTube- Florence + The Machine @ Oxegen Festival, 10/07/10 - Between Two Lungs[/ame] <333
  11. +1000000000000000  To recognize me, that's simple, I'm really small!! So if you mistook somebody for a kid while we were waiting for Gary, that must have been me
  12. On stage, as much as I've always dislike Liam, you can't deny that when he's singing, he lives his songs even if his 'posture' on stage has always been 'weird'...Oasis live performances were pretty awesome back in the day. I've never been an oasis 'fan' but this band is, no matter what, a big part of the soundtrack of my youth...
  13. During the gig I was more attentiv but I was so in :bomb:  :awesome: mode that I don't remember exactly the lyrics...
  14. It's not just us... Every review I red on the album or people that went to the gig said the same thing: mindblowing. So we're not blinded by our 'SP/Lightbody' fandomness  This album is OBJECTIVELY awesome :awesome: @Christina: ok for the lyrics, so that's not just my french ear that can't sort it out
  15. Welcome to the club! Since the gig I can't stop listening to it and weeping gently...Which is weird for me since usually I'm not a cry baby..but here, with every listen, memories from the gig keep rushing back and I get emotionnal. It started in the eurostar where, like Chris would have sing 'tears stream down your face..', I couldn't help it. I received a text from Virginie who was in an Eurostar before mine and was in the same state XD Again this morning, I became all teary while listening to I'll carry you in the bus.... My sister and bro in law came dine with yesterday and we listened to the album, they loved it *w* First reaction of my big sis when she saw the gig's pics 'ohhh...that Gary dude is really cute!'.... :D  btw: has anyone manage to decipher the lyrics of the new songs?? I have a hard time doing so...:/ @V: any news of a bootleg??
  16. :laugh3: yeah! It's a nice shot, it's cute to see their complicity backstage.
  17. Just because it made me laugh XD
  18. Liam and Noel has always been douches. The thing is: Noel grew out of it and became a decent man through the years but Liam is still 15 in his head :dozey: They like to provok by saying thing like Liam said a little above. Most of the time is just for the sake of 'shake things a little' but in Liam's case, he's really thinking it. Liam is jalous of Noel's songwritting talent just as Noel is envious of Liam's voice and charisma. Again, Noel accepted it with years and he's fine with it but Liam is still in this 'competition' mind with his brother and this new band is a way to prove he can be better than Noel...which frankly, I don't think he can be. Wait & see, but I'm not excited about this. On the contrary, I can't wait to hear Noel's solo album!
  19. I think that's him that will crawl at Noel's knees when his 'band' will crash into flames...
  20. In Solidays, people went totally crazy and everybody was singing even on not really well know songs such as 'my boys build coffins' [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbLnPZVTGnE]YouTube- Florence and The Machine - My Boy Builds Coffins (27.06.10)[/ame] I'm not talking about the Hammersmith show in London that was total madness :stunned: Usually the brits are quiet during gig, but that night, they went crazy as soon as she entered the stage in her disco ball!!
  21. especially after the french drama queen, he must have thought 'what's up with those crazy french?!' :laugh3: That was so cute....totally acting like the true 'care bear' that he is :smug: Oh, so it's also a cover?!! thx, I thought it was new... I remember you saying to me when she started complaining (it was still pretty early in the night) that tonight you were from Switzerland or Belgium but not french  I think she really pissed everybody off ...(between her and the drunken lady that was sneaking around the parking lot...). I mean, artist aren't bound to get out after a show and they don't owe us anything except the live performance we paid for!! The other night, the security told us they were partying till 2AM (and it's normal they wanted to celebrate their first show, even more since it was a total success!), so it's not like she didn't know we would have to wait.... Plus, when he came out, he apologized, he was pretty tired/little drunk and you sensed that he wanted to go home but he stayed for all of us!! He's been nice to everybody, getting wet and all, and then she's started ranting at him for waiting?!! :stunned: Seriously, what was wrong with her?!! Nobody forced her to stay! And then all the photos she wanted him to redo because there were sthg behing her daughter and stuff...No seriously, I thought 'is she kidding?!!' I looked at Virginie and said I wanted to slap her  I felt so bad for Gary who was really trying to please her and staying calm...I admire him even more after that!! What a lovely man for not getting angry! (I wish she would have act the same around a Liam Gallagher and she would have got what she deserved :sneaky: )
  22. Aren't that bad....are you kidding me?!! They're FANTASTIC :bomb: Thanks for sharing your pics and vids!!!!
  23. ANNA THANK YOU  I wished you were there too, we would have so much fun! It's when the crazy french woman was harrassing him... Don't blame him for looking mad, I would have punch her at his place  Come on girl, that's normal!! You would have done the same for me  This TP gig is filled with pizzas stories....interresting  Maybe the cover of the next album will be a giant pizza?!! (from pizza express of course :P )
  24. The tracklist I put was the one Gary gave when he announced TP's album was in the works. You can see the actual setlist of the gig in Virginie's photo a little above. The new ones were: I'll carry you (makes me cry everytime...especially when Gary is screaming near the end...) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_dbmXsd_t4]YouTube- Tired Pony - I'll Carry You @ HMV Forum London 14-07-2010[/ame] Silver atomes: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtaCIp1ampg]YouTube- Tired Pony @HMV Forum - Silver Atoms[/ame] Your bible [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMwAEFOi5jE]YouTube- Tired Pony - Your Bible - HMV Forum, London 14/07/2010[/ame] Chain of fools [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTJGdZh_61k]YouTube- Tired Pony - Chain Of Fools - HMV Forum, London 14/07/2010[/ame] And Cold blooded old times that I found is actually a cover from a song of another band [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgVaYfXqzp0]YouTube- Tired Pony - Cold Blooded Old Times - HMV Forum, London 14/07/2010[/ame] So 4 new + a cover.
  25. That's 'Daybreak' :) me too :bigcry: But almost every line of Gary's lyrics is worth quoting...
