Sherlock (TV Series)
I've just watched it (thx for the info guys!) and I loved it! The study in scarlet is actually the only Sherlock I red (yeah, bad I know) but I thought they portrayed well the spirits of the characters. And the dialogues were brilliant, I was laughing all along! Can't wait for episode 2!

Like everything that comes from that band :awesome: And on the 'I'm-too-cute-and-nice-and-with-an-infectious-smile-it's-almost-painful-to-watch', Jonas Bjerre (Mew leader) is not far from our G!

Those 2 days have been EPIC!! and it's been 2 weeks today since the Pizza Express encounter... want to ge back so badly :bomb: I feel like this... Gwyneth...
Thx Mimmi!! it's true that 'country song' sounds a little cheesy for a Chris' song... I'm really excited about this movie *w* (well, I'm always excited for a new Gwyn movie but this one sounds goooooOOOOd!)

Gwyneth...
Am I the only one thinking it could be a Chris song?...Afterall, he said he wrote a few tunes for that movie.... :sneaky:

Gwyneth...
 I've always love her singing. My favorites being a duet she did with Sheryl Crow a few ago now...Gwyn sings in the chorus, subtle but lovely. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6zuvzhk8a4]YouTube- Sheryl Crow - It's Only Love[/ame] and her cover of Bette Davis eyes [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQGyTKoByWc]YouTube- Bette Davis Eyes - Gwyneth Paltrow[/ame] But in this 'country song', her voice has improved, so I'm really excited to heart sing in that one

Same here. I can understand why people have a tendency to bash them (not original, 'coldplay for the poor' etc... :whip: ) but they give so much more than 'easy hit songs' (seriously, Gary is one of the most talented songwriter out there!), they give their all, the 10 years they struggled to made it, you can feel how much they love playing and make people having a good time...They always play like it was the first time, with the same joy and enthousiasm... THEY ROCK :smug: Dreaaaaaaaams  Good memory for me too (not for Cam  ) but I was 14 again and it felt great! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaaqWvJgnNM]YouTube- The Cranberries @Tours - Zombie 01/06/2010[/ame] Mika :awesome: my feelgood pill! All you said is so true! I won't put vids of the PdP (the DVD is better :P ) but here's one of the accoustic show in Le Cirque d'Hiver (@V : I was with Aline that you saw at the SP gig). It was craaaaaazy and made a little girl dance on his piano, it was so cute I filmed it! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adVkI8FSLpo]YouTube- Love today fillette[/ame] The crowd was MENTAL that night!! He ended up the gig by making one of his most fervent fan play the piano on relax...awesome! You know it the same for me  So glad to have share it with you. The fire, the wine, the bed and you....In this crimson light I find the truth..And the truth is like a punch or two....It hits you hard it knocks you through (...) Kiss like a fight that neither wins....A tender payment for our sins....You are the drug that I can't quit....Your perfect chaos is perfect fit. :bigcry: Gary how can you write such beautiful things?!! Last year, had my fan moment with my bro in law at the U2 gig...I totally lost it on on Pride XD (which is one of my fav) and the crowd singing so loud the chorus... *shiver* [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm-X1sFM0_c]YouTube- 6 Pride[/ame] I'll end up with the only cool artists (with the Crans) that come to my town...

Florence + The Machine
I don't think they still have it in the 'flotique'... Camille try to buy it there but it was already out of stock so I bought it for her at the London show, they were selling it there. I found mine in my local fnac, which was the most pleasant surprise, but I haven't seen it there since...If you live in Paris, you could check out stores like Gilbert, Cam saw it there once... Or maybe on site like amazon or play.com...

Florence + The Machine
She came with the 'Florence Robot is a machine' when she was at first playing gigs alone and one of her friends suggested it (don't think it's Isabella... don't remember...). F+tM is not technically a 'band' per say, it's the recording name of Florence. 'The machine' part is the nickname for the musicians who provide backing music for her voice....but IMO, the spot is really on her. I've never seen an ITV with the musicians, it's always Flo alone (which is not the case for regular bands, even if the frontman is the one talking in 90% case scenario).... But I just as you, I love the fact that she really includes them in the show and the 'band's name :) It's from the live DVD from the boxset :) You can find all the gig at Rivoli on YT I think, it's a very good show, pretty 'intimate'. But I prefer her performances from the accoustic sessions at Metropolis studio. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eOZXJ_BrNg]YouTube- Florence + The Machine - Between Two Lungs (Acoustic)[/ame]

De rien :D I saw Tired Pony last week and Tom (not technically a member of the band but he sings on one song on the album ^^ (my fav actually...that voice :bomb: ). So he came as a guest for the show and sang it + a cover of another song. The rest of the time, he played piano on a bunch of songs and typewritter :laugh3: If you want to see him sings here ] I didn't manage to get an autograph, he just popped up very quickly at the back door entrance (photo) but went back quickly to the after party they were having.

Yep! But Q are big fans of Gary so he's always in there :D He even had a chronicle on their website 'Gary Lightbody's band of the week' ;) http://news.qthemusic.com/cgi-bin/mt4/mt-search.cgi?blog_id=1&tag=Gary%20Lightbody%27s%20Band%20Of%20The%20Week&limit=20 Anyway, I love this magazine, they are pretty 'impartial' and fair (contrary to NME) and talk a lot of my fav artists...Maybe I should suscribe since I almost end up buy it each month  The radio session was before the show, in the afternoon ;) --edit---------------- New ITV on radio. Gary speaks about his fangirlness for Peter XD *cute* http://www.sendspace.com/file/cwtwk1 :stunned: So he wrote 25 fuckin TP songs before recording and they just record 5 of them and wrote 5 others new during the week!!!!! :o Seriously, are they robots?!!! So it means we still have 20 songs + the 3 new from the show.... :bomb: NEW ALBUM PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Rodolph & Robert - the topic for those who speak milleuze
He IS!! :awesome: He played piano and typewritter (yes, I'm not kidding  ) on a bunch of songs and his girlfriend Edith Bowman (the journalist) sang backupvocals on the last song of the show. He also sang a cover of 'cold blooded old times' (with Gary still in fangirl mode *cute*). Just amazing, this type of country songs really suits his voice!
