never gonna work out with this forum.... someone needs to create a facebook page so everyone can like it! and with enough likes... we should let Coldplay (supposedly via Debs) notice what we've done - but we need to be absolutely clear about what we want. do we want 1 patch per physical copy? i mean the pacth(es) must fit into the enclosure! but then you may be disappointed if you don't get your desired patch (on case that you care about it^^ - like me) that would mean having more patches per album - wouldn't that be expensive? and how will they fit in the enclosure anyway? maybe it should be visible then which patch you're gonna get... and if not, we're gonna start out a trading thread among coldplayers :D

i doubt they'll announce the tracklisting.... i bet they have it set by then, but i guess they'll only say it's called Mylo Xyloto, not an artwork though... more pictures maybe.... maybe....

that made me laugh :D YOU ? look at your keyboard my friend and tell me how accurate that is =P (no i'm not rude =) ) i have made the one that guy has on the red jacket on the left arm in photoshop (see my avatar, that is one variation with glows etc of it) that patch is deducted from the neon light circles on stage.

the most frustrating thing is when you try your best but you don't succeed ._. ok that one was lame but i really meant to say that putting too much effort in it, too much longing for a good song will result in frustration and a depressive mood... and aggressions. stop it. stop writing, live your life for a few days, have fun, go out, do stuff, but don't think about writing. after a while you will find something to write about and then you'll start out writing. whether you find a guitar riff or anything, chord progression etc. or find a few words first does not matter, it'll come with time. believe me, i never got the hang of it, and i still pretty much don't but as i have gotten a better musician, more confidence with my instrument so it feels more organic to me, a natural thing playing it, i was able to write songs easily... i struggle with rhymes though, haha =D i could write billions of shitty songs, but i'm criticising every step, i'm never content but i'm getting there and at some point i say " it's a-ok, you can leave it like that". i compare what i play with what i've heard from other musicians (i mean i compare it with ANYTHING in my head), because i don't want it to sound too much like this or that... and you know, i cut out things, add a tiny bit, find it unneccessary and kick it out again... it's a lot of "tweaking the knobs", a proccess of finding what you like... so when you are stuck, just stop. take a break, no matter how long but leave it alone for some time. that may be a minute until you suddenly come to think of something, that may be an hour you spend outside or eating or eating outside, that may be a week you just enjoy yourself and have an experience worth singing about. to sum it up, remember these rules: 1 - don't force yourself into writing a song 2 - remember to take breaks when you get stuck oh and also: 3 - be patient!

politik is the best example: it is quiet! it's a damn quiet song between the "open up your eyes" and "give me love over this" parts!

how "slow" are politik, clocks and the hardest part then? ;D piano and moderately fast at least

no, nonono, last minute idea TO BE RECORDED in a rush... in LA.... i bet this is a rehearsal... i mean they would never put on their stage clothes and pull in the stage lighting setup in the studio :D EDIT: come to think of it - it IS a rehearsal, it's the roundhouse for the iTunes festival !

guitar, piano &keyboard, drums, bass, blues harp, even recorder xD i'd say i'm very good at the first 4... then just anything that comes across my way (strings haven't ...as of yet...)

yes it's good, but th quality is trash ._. you may try it with microphones, i mean you are good enough to be "worth" a real mic. 2 indeed, 1 for the piano inside and one in front of you, because the piano is way too loud and you are way too silent. that's a shame because you actually CAN sing, but it's nearly inaudible =/
