Death & All His Friends I finally get to see Coldplay in June. I thought they'd NEVER play here. I'm excited!!!!!! :D

I've always wanted to know where the name "Coldplay" came from. Is it soccer (UK football) terminology for a ball that stops and goes dead? Or does it refer to music terminology like when a song stops being played on the radio after it disappears from the Top 40 chart?

brilliant, amazing, comforting I couldn't find the U2 vs Coldplay thread. I just wanted to add this: Bono sings and writes a few lyrics once in a while, but Chris martin is a lyricist, composer, vocalist, and musician. Chris is a multi-instrumentalist. He has 100x more talent in his fingers than Bono does in his entire body.

You know that old saying/song: "Don't know what you've got till it's gone" AKA taking people for granted. It reminds me of those Hollywood industry types who got all cut up when Heath Ledger died and considered him for an Oscar nom after they didn't give a rat's ass about him while he was alive. :rolleyes:

I hate that too. It sucks. It's one of the reaons why I left the NIN forum and joined a White Stripes message board. I hate negative people. All they do is bring me down. It's so f**king annoying. :veryangry2:

I love everything Jack White does. He's so talented. I wish the Raconteurs would play here. I missed the WS concert last year for a couple of reasons. I could watch Jack strum that instrument for hours. He's the reason why there's 5 stupid guitars sitting in my living room. He's so gifted and gorgeous on top of it. I could go on and on about Jack White forever but it might bore you to tears. He's my favorite musician and I love him. :kiss: (Sorry Chris and Guy.)

I bought the rest of the series yesterday. I'm still trying to finish the first book. I really like her writing. She's very talented. I can't wait for the movie.

I agree. Funeral is better than Neon Bible. I wish AF would play here!! They opened for U2. They're better than U2. IMO. It should be the other way around...U2 opening for AF. :sneaky: AF & U2 do a cover of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" at youtube. It would have been good if Bono had been interested and hadn't sung off key.

Lost in Translation- 7/10 I got it for the soundtrack, not the storyline. I like Bill Murray. I used to hate Scarlett Johanssen. But then she married a Canadian Guy. So I guess...she can't be that bad. ;)

I like My Bloody Valentine and the Jesus & Mary Chain. I still listen to them every week. I'm gonna buy the Lost in Translation DVD cuz MBV, J&MC, the Chemical Brothers and Bryan Ferry are all on the soundtrack.
