You guys I'm freaking out. So I'm now on the fence about flying to Ireland and meeting the band just because if it's a hand shake and a picture that to me is really disappointing. So I may decide not to do it, but I just read that "all bids are binding" so does this mean if I don't pay they can come after me? I'm freaking out...

I had two of the worst roommates you could ever possibly imagine. I would say first things first is you should both come to an agreement on what time lights need to be out by, what time your friends should be gone by, etc. otherwise if you get too far into the year then you feel awkward saying anything. I had a roommate who asked me everyday if I wanted to do bible study and when I say every day I'm not lying. She also would blow dry her hair at 6am and type at 3am along with the lights on. Oh, and my other roommate would throw used toilet paper that should have been flushed in the trash...

I honestly have never cared for Radiohead. I want to like them as well and Fitz told me to start out with The Bends so I plan to do that. I like a few of their songs.

Haha I agree. It sounds like Coldplay's management has to approve the winner of this auction. I just emailed the grammy people and asked them what sort of time I would have with the band. I will not pay until they give me an answer and I feel content with that answer. My mom was like "we can fly to ireland for a week and see them all for under $2,000." I know $8,000 is a crap load of money and for that they should give me a signed guitar :wink3: I know Coldplay is pressed for time, but I would think with a charity auction where someone is spending this kind of money they would make special time.

My mom knows I'm going to do what I'm going to do, but Angie brought up a good point that before I pay I should demand a time frame of how long I will have with the band. I don't want to shell out all this money and just walk in shake hands and get a picture. So if they tell me that's how it goes, then I will just wait until the next tour to stalk them!

Hey Angie, I just sent you a PM back. The whole package is for two people so my mom would be all cool meeting Coldplay. She thinks Chris is cute. Yeah, I have been thinking that would be disappointing to know I paid a shit load of money and to see all these people who just happened to call in at the right time and get to meet the band.

I'm depressed and have been crying most of the day. My mom is making me feel like I'm making a terrible mistake. She said I would only get to shake hands with them and a picture and that's it.

Yeah, I hope the meet and greet is good. My mom keeps trying to talk me out of it. She said "you've been ten feet away from these people you don't need to meet them." It makes me happy that you are all so thrilled, but I'm really sad my mom doesn't get it...

I haven't paid yet! I guess someone is suppose to call or email me, but I'm guessing that won't happen until Monday.
