  1. One of life's many truths! Along with Guy being the sexiest man evah! :toff:
  2. Haha yah, I've seen it plenty of times around this site, but I can't find it.
  3. Nonetheless it was hard to get through. Conrad didn't make it any easier by having a narrator within a narrator.
  4. Eh, it wasn't my first experience with books like that. We read stuff like that a lot in school. I'm just not really one for 16th/17th century (or earlier even) lit. I can understand it for the most part, but it takes too long in my opinion. I should be able to read through it fluidly and not have to stop and figure out what they're talking about. It doesn't make it a bad book of course, but it usually won't be one of my favorites if it's like that.
  5. Look, this may sound shallow or whatever, but I really couldn't give a damn how deep a book's meaning is if it's not very readable. That book was so hard to get through. Took me 10 minutes or so for just a few pages. And when a book is like that I find myself having to go back and reread things over and over, and mind wandering. Want a book with great meaning, thought, development, and storytelling? East of Eden. One of the best books ever.
  6. Him being brutally honest isn't a very good point, sorry. There are characters in plenty of books that are brutally honest without being as annoying and idiotic as Holden. But I must agree, Heart of Darkness was painful. I didn't get past page 25, as least not consecutively. Read a few other pages here and there, just to know what was going on because I had a quiz on it. But that book actually has a point.
  7. The first suggestion was Apparatchaps, but for some reason people seem to have adopted Apparatchucks. I like chaps better though.
  8. Well I guess I don't have it saved, though it was one that went with this set: But it was the one where it looks like Guy and Will are holding hands, and Chris looks like he's whispering to Jonny.
  9. Jonny and Will looked good too. Chris only when his hair was short. As soon as you said that I thought of that one really gross Chris picture...with the really icky hair. From the X&Y days. I wonder if I can find it... True statement.
  10. Sucks he died, but gotta be honest here, Catcher in the Rye was one of the worst books I ever read. People rave about its character development, which happens to be nonexistent. Holden was a whiny, stupid little...I'll stop myself there.
  11. I love you too! It's all too easy when you got Guy Berryman to work with :wink3: SEE! SEE! :wacky::awesome: X&Y GUY FOR THE MAJOR WIN. :bomb:
  12. I know right! Poor Will. He's my second favorite after Guy. We can celebrate like this! So, who's your favorite era Guy Cresty? :wink3:
  13. Glad you like! :D There's about to be a whole bunch of new on Monday! Yep!
  14. YES!!! Let's celebrate! Haha I know right! Don't worry, you're not alone, I thought so too. :P
  15. The new video is my favorite so far.
  16. I've meant to ask you, what is crests? Really, what is that from? Is it from Crests of Waves?
  17. Say what? :wtf: I know right :wink3: Yay Cresty! So are you now a Berrygirl, or still a Jonnyfester?
  18. Well I think they just mean it title isn't known yet. It's untitled because we don't know what it is. I mean, honestly I don't know anything for certain, but I think surely they've got a title.
  19. It's not untitled, we just don't know the title. @Technicolor Live: Yah that's sort of what it is, at least that's what we call it. I was just laughing because I forgot about it, and your reaction to it was funny.
  20. Must be. :wink2:
  21. Great job Catherine! Maybe someone should tweet it at Mags or something?
  22. No. Hohoho. Mon fils est un gangster au sang-froid et j'ai besoin d'un câlin.
