That's why I said it doesn't annoy me as much on the internet. But another thing to keep in mind is that it could possibly be used against someone to insult their intelligence. I actually did that on YouTube earlier today....:blank:

Well duh, obviously it doesn't make what you're trying to communicate impossible to understand. It makes you seem uneducated or ignorant, especially when it's really not hard to be correct in these simple little grammar rules. What, it takes -1 millisecond to add an apostrophe, don't be a lazy ass. AND if you're talking to someone who doesn't speak English as their first language but can understand it relatively decently, it just might be confusing because they DO have different meanings. Now, in informal situations like on the internet it doesn't annoy me as much, but people make these mistakes formally too. And really even in informal settings it's not hard to just... do it correctly. Also it's better to just go ahead and use correct grammar, especially when typing, cause it's good practice for when you have to have a job or something. This post is wonderful: Another one that I just thought of is when people say stuff like "must of" instead of the correct "must have." There are other examples of mistakes really similar to that but I can't think of the other ones at the moment.

Ahhh I hate this too! Dunno why I'm only seeing this thread for the first time, but yes I really hate it when people mix up your and you're, or don't even bother to try to use the correct one. This one is one of my other grammar pet peeves. It's understandable that you would mix them up from time to time, since English isn't your first language I can understand forgetting, but people who speak English as their first or main language really should know the difference or pay attention cause not only do they tend to mix up "they're" and "their," I've seen "there" used for both of those before. :facepalm: And I really dislike when people can't do the whole "me and you" or "you and I" thing correctly. The rule for it is really simple, and if you TRY to be correct it doesn't take long before it becomes so familiar that you don't even really need to think of the rule. You'll just know because it sounds incorrect.

I'm not sure why, but I never got into the habit of using the snooze button. I've only used it a few times in my whole life. Usually when my alarm goes off I either turn if off and get straight up even though it sucks, or I turn if off and lay there for a few more minutes but don't go back to sleep, then get up. This is why I get completely screwed over if I accidentally fall back to sleep. D:

No no no! Don't be ashamed of that!! Local languages are SO much cooler than "international" ones. And it's important that people continue to speak their local and cultural languages. Sadly, 1 language dies out about every two weeks. That's so much, so fast. :freak: And it's because the languages' last speakers die. The younger generations are often less inclined to speak their cultural languages and lean towards bigger languages.
