I could really tell you all the pros and cons of being in medicine, but you need to experience it, because what people say about it is nothing compared to living the pressure and dealing with it. My best advice is: Do it if it makes you feel passionate, do it if you like it, do it if you love science. Sacrifice has a reward in the end :nice:

I never said people should be pro-life. And I won't go around telling people to think the way I do, I was just giving my point of view. I know many women get to choose that, but I know that I would never have an abortion, that's it.

YES MATE SOME DOCTORS DO IT FOR THE MONEY, OTHERS HAVE THE PASSION TO BE NERDS AND FREAKS ABOUT MEDICINE BECAUSE IT'S SO INTERESTING AND EXCITING, AND A FEW OTHERS DO IT TO HELP. Whatever their reason is, med students/doctors sacrifice a lot more than a.. hm.. ok ok.. everyone else. We get special treatment, we are the only ones with real legal support and some laws were made specifically for doctors, why? Cause without them, no one would ever be able to treat a disease. An architect can't save you, a lawyer will suck your money. And if they seem arrogant, I think they all have the right to feel that way, since they do something entirely different, natural and amazing than any other crap. And do people consider it? No. They think we're ok with spending weekends studying for a mid term, they think we love staying up all night reading a fucking book, they think we don't suffer this shit. And to make it worse, when a doctor is trying to have a nice, quiet, relaxing time, they come and start asking for treatment :nice: And what do they do? They help. But no one ever understands, no one cares, and the only few who care, are med students/doctors, and that's sad. Oh, yes it is. The combo (coke+redbull+the other shit) is the thing that isn't really for me :nice: I opted to study everyday, sacrifice saturdays and sundays to get my stuff in order and advance some shit so I can sleep early every night. Maybe pretentious isn't for you.
