Radiohead
Radiohead played shows that were 70 miles and 150 miles from where I was living at the time. I couldn't get tickets to either, so I just kept driving until I finally got a ticket to a show close to 300 miles from my house.

By the way, that's an amazing version of True Love Waits (1st time ever). I had not seen that video before. I say this like a broken record, but I wish Radiohead would sometimes stick to simple songs. I am not saying exclusively, but I just love the raw sound of an acoustic guitar and amazing vocals. In my opinion, it doesn't always have to be complex or boundary pushing; it just has to connect. True Love Waits certainly does for me.

Paul McCartney
Yeah, I mean, I am a nobody fan, and for a Beatle to take a moment of his time to acknowledge me and provide me with a couple of collectables that will stay in my family forever is more than I could expect.

Paul McCartney
I only had a second, so I told him it was an honor to meet him. He said, "Alright man, Rock N' Roll." He said it in the head bobbing, goofy way that you would imagine and expect. He signed my copy of 1, and that was it. I know it wasn't personal, but things like that mean a lot to me. That's why this dinner thing (with details hopefully to come) is blowing my mind.

Paul McCartney
No, it's probably one of the biggest regrets of my life. He played 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl, and it was cold, rainy, and I was busy at work. Normally, I don't wimp out, but that's what I did. I am so mad at myself. I am considering going up to San Francisco in July to see him. He also played at The Joint in Las Vegas. A couple of my friends drove out for the weekend, but I was too busy with school. I met him after the 2nd night at the Hollywood Bowl. My friend knew where the after party was being held and gave me a tip. That's the only time I got to say a word to him. I also met him a couple times at a sound studio in Los Angeles when he was preparing to play Coachella. One day I was behind a fence; the other day I said hello while he was in his car leaving the studio (kind of a funny side note: when in Los Angeles, he drives himself in an older model Corvette). The only other time I saw him in person was when he attended the Hollywood Star ceremony for George Harrison. I thought it was really cool that he showed up to honor his former band mate. That was one of the better Beatle events I ever attended...just good vibes. So no...never saw him in concert, but I have had a few cool experiences. Win some, lose some.

Yeah, I live in Southern California, so I feel the same way. I consider concerts to be a recreational activity. It makes me so happy when people get to see musicians they want to see. My 20s were a mad blur of attending concerts. I'm surprised I didn't get fired from my job. Anyhow, I really hope you get to see Radiohead.

Paul McCartney
I am dying to hear more about this story. Like I said, I've met McCartney a few times, but I openly admit that I am a scavenger and a collector. The opportunity to have dinner with him, or engage in a conversation of any length...that would be the ultimate.

I think it's a long shot, too. At least you got a nice, clean live version from I Might Be Wrong.

Haha...I think you provided me with the list I forgot about. Sorry about that, man. I'll put this one in a safe place, and I will be taking a listen. Thanks again.

Neon Bible or Funeral
Yeah, I like a lot of the lyrics on Neon Bible, too. A song like "Keep the Car Running" (just to name one) reminds me a lot of Springsteen. Actually, Arcade Fire remind me of a mix between Springsteen, Bowie, and Talking Heads.

I have a celebrity crush on Emily Haines
I don't know much about her, but I saw an interview with her the other day and liked it. She seems very down to earth and smart. Also, her sentiments about music are very similar to mine. I am a big fan of female lead singers; there are just not many of them.

Do you listen to albums or just let your music player go random
I shuffle everything. I have a couple of playlists, but I shuffle those, too. I don't like knowing what's coming next when I'm at the gym, especially when weight training. I can listen to pretty much anything when I do cardio.
-
Do you listen to albums or just let your music player go random
Actually, what I said above isn't completely true. I often listen to shuffle when I am at the gym.

Arcade Fire
I am going to try to see them the next time they come to Los Angeles. They are one of the few bands that rarely comes here. I missed them when they played at the Greek Theater, which is a very intimate venue. It's one of the few bands I like that I haven't seen live.

DID Presents: The Battle of the Album – The Decades - 1960s -The Results
Whenever there are lists like this, I feel limited from the standpoint that I've only fully listened to maybe 50 or 60 albums from the 1960s. I only know what I know, which really isn't reflective of everything in the 60s. I only feel comfortable with one decade, and that's the 90s.

Do you listen to albums or just let your music player go random
I am a big fan of albums, so even if I don't like some of the songs, I force myself to at least give it a try. The only time I go shuffle is when I get a bunch of new stuff that people are recommending, but it's not clicking. Sometimes you'll find one song amongst a bunch of different songs that just clicks. But once it does, I go back to the album. Good question.

Neon Bible or Funeral
No Cars Go and Wake Up are my favorite Arcade Fire songs. No Cars Go obviously isn't as epic, but I just like it. I don't know if you'd categorize it as a song from Neon Bible or not.

On a side note, could someone please suggest solo albums for me. I have most of them, I have never listened. I apologise because I think I received suggestions before but I forgot
