  1. New Zealand's national anthem was played during yesterday's news coverage. [ame= ] [/ame] This Friday and Saturday will be Red and Black Day in support of Christchurch. Red and black are the Canterbury colours. http://http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=128474807224687&notif_t=event_invite
  2. Now the death toll is 98. There's grave fears for the 228 people still missing.
  3. And in mid April 2008 there was the Mangatepopo Valley disaster which took the lives of 6 students and their teacher. The river flooded while they were crossing it and they were swept to their deaths. [ame= ] [/ame] I've read on another forum I'm on that it's said there could be more than 100 people lost in the CTV Building.
  4. http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/02/earthquake-in-new-zealand/100013 Images of the aftermath of the Christchurch quake.
  5. Air New Zealand are operating $50 flights for people from Christchurch to Auckland and Wellington.
  6. Christchurch's mayor said the death toll is expected to be around 200.
  7. When the September earthquake hit Christchurch, there was one death. This was a woman who suffered a heart attack. Yesterday's death toll has probably risen by now. It really upset me to see the badly damaged Christchurch Cathedral. That cathedral is an icon and to see it as it is now, well it is heartbreaking.
  8. This quake was felt as far as Invercargill and Waiouru.
  9. The death toll is expected to rise.
  10. This earthquake measured 6.2. It was much closer to the city and it was also closer to the surface than the previous one was. There's been deaths this time.
  11. Did this happen recently or was it some time ago? Why would she want to do this? Also did she get a jail term and if so, then for how long? Yes it is good that the effin bitch was prosecuted. It upset me to hear one of the pups cry out when it landed in the river. The pup may have landed on a rock. It's litter mates were crying out. It's as if they knew what was going to happen to them.
  12. I agree that she should have taken the pups to the animal shelter if she didn't want them, but instead she chose to throw them in the river. This is sick, really sick. And by being filmed doing this, she should have realised she would get caught and charged.
  13. http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/296836 Warning. This video will be upsetting for people. I have found it quite disturbing.
  14. Kumara. (New Zealand sweet potato).
  15. New Zealand. (Also known as Aotearoa).
  16. I'm not having my username changed again.
  17. My username used to be Coldplay fan from NZ, but a friend of mine signed up on here a while back and copied most of my username by making his username Coldpay fan from NY. So then I contacted Busybeeburns and asked him to change my username to Cascading Waterfall.
  18. This is for all of you.
  19. Prince William has been over to New Zealand. Our government has offered to pay all the expenses for the honeymoon.
  20. I like pizza. I do admit that I prefer it without tomato, olives and pineapple.
