Actually this is too much to ask for. :dead: And I would have massive problems who I watch performing the most. That'd definitely kill me, so I rather take the collaborations on CD. Dying right infront of them wouldn't make a good first impression, would it?

There is a concert planned to take place in London, if I'm not totally wrong. And as a massive Editors fan I'm soooo happy. :nice: First Snow Patrol supported Coldplay (and I missed it :dozey:) and then Gary forms a band which collaborates with Tom. Is there much more one could ask for? :wacky:

Kate Nash
Looks like it. And if not 'epic fail' then certainly 'big disappointment / could have done much better'.

The giant booklet is just a huge version of the ordinary booklet, so I'm not as jealous anymore as I was back in November. BUT I'd hurt people pretty badly for that big photograph of the band.

That looks a lot like a poster! I wish I had that. :dead: Does anyone have the original? Not a photo of a photo / poster?

No, w1ll1am7, I'm a bad fan because I asked a stupid question instead of just looking the information up. :shame: It's supposed to be released on 24th May. The whole Eat Raw Meat EP. But on some sites (e.g. amazon.de) the release is postponed to 11th June. There might be different dates according to the country, I guess. Yes, two new songs, fietssleutel. Alone and Thousands Of Lovers. You can listen to the previews on iTunes.

Are they already released? Edit: Did some research like every good fan should do. There are previews on iTunes already. Alone sounds promising. Thousands Of Lovers not so much at the first listen. But the end of the preview sounds good. Although I feel like they took the melody of No Sound But The Wind for the voice and an instrumental mix of Eat Raw Meat and some song from the Cuttings II EP and put that together. The end of the preview is a quite good guitar solo like in Like Treasure. :nice:

Escape The Nest made me addicted to it for quite long. I love slightly insane and weird songs but I didn't really get into 'In This Light And On This Evening' - except of the magnificent Like Treasure - until I sat down and listened to The Cuttings EP II. Do you have that? On it are songs that didn't make it on the album and are pretty experimental in terms of Editor's style. I recommend I Want A Forest, it was stuck in my head for WEEKS. :wacky: And A Life As A Ghost. Never felt much for Human though.

Many fans were but I really got into it. Like a lot. Like I kind of got obsessed with it. The latest album is a grower I have to admit. I was very disappointed in the begining and thought of not buying it at all. But I did and I'm glad I did so. If you like An End Has A Start more, check their debut The Back Room out. :nice:

The Courteeners
Which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. But now that you mentioned it I see the similarity between the White Lies singer's and The Courteeners singer's voice and style of singing. I like this kind of voices anyway. :D I need to get the new album soon!

The Courteeners
You Overdid It Doll is / was played on BBC Radio 1 a lot but I could never catch the name of the band. Thanks for recommending them! :) I checked out both albums on YouTube this evening. The first one is good but I like the second one better. Maybe I need to listen to the songs a bit more often in the future to decide properly. So far, Will It Be This Way Forever? is my favourite. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ6NEQjApBQ&feature=related]YouTube- The Courteeners - Will It Be This Way Forever[/ame]

But we have the Tired Pony record comming up this summer, so maybe they can go on a tiny little tour together. Snow Patrol isn't touring, is R.E.M.?

Gwyneth...
Well, I don't put Scarlett Johansson down because I want to praise Gwyneth. Besides I really like Gwyneth's work and her style, I just can't stand Scarlett Johansson. I know that many people find her attractive and like her as an actress but I simply don't. And I think she looked worse at both events compared to Gwyneth. That's my opinion and I'm not afraid to voice it. That dress you found is fabulous, Mich! :nice:
-
Gwyneth...
:laugh4: Ms Johanssohn seems to always wear similar outfits to Gwyneth's but she always looks worse. Give up Scarlett, Gwyneth just knows how to dress. And although I don't really like both recent outfits, Gwyneth really rarely looks somewhere near 'bad'. (Shut up, people. Yes, I'm talking to you JustJared people. :dozey:) I don't know, I like the way Gwyneth says 'ehm'. :nice: Usually I hate this on every person but it gives her something I actually like. Thanks for 'spamming', monicka! :)

Random Coldplay thoughts...
When I turned on the TV this afternoon a movie with Gwyneth was on. In German(y) it's called 'Flight Girls' (which obviously isn't German ) and I just found out that it's originally called 'View From The Top'. The first thing that came to my mind was the Coldplay song 'View From The Top', of course. As I only have a very ... bad (:dozey:) version of it and don't know when it was recorded, I wondered if Chris wrote it because of Gwyneth and the movie. The movie came out in spring 2003, so I thought it could be right.

Grand Avenue
Actually 'The Outside' wasn't their debut album. Their first album is self-titled. The new one is just brilliant. I'm glad they stuck with their musical style and didn't go too experimental for their fourth album. They are absolutely fabulous and so is the new album. :nice: The first single from 'Place To Fall' [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-csUYwvZOA]YouTube- Almost Gone - Grand Avenue (lyrics)[/ame]

Kate Nash
She is smart and crative and has a great voice but I somehow got the feeling she thought she had to prove all this and to draw a strong line between her and those female artists who can neither sing nor write their own songs but know how to undress themselves in public. Not that this line wasn't already drawn. Unfortunately she tried too hard. Looking at the lyrics I feel confirmed. :\ So am I.
-
Kate Nash
She does but I wouldn't say they are similar as artists. Sure they both come from the UK and are women. So? I see Kate as an indie singer while Lily Allen makes pop music. But that's just my opinion.
-
Kate Nash
Totally agree on that. I like the new single and it was stuck in my head for a few days so I was really looking forward to the new album. Bought right away on Friday and was disappointed. Am. Do-Wah-Doo seems to be the best / catchiest song on the album which certainly was the reason to make it the first single. Kate has a strong style and people began to copy that or were at least compared to her. I don't think she got annoying. It's a pity that she speaks so much on the record (at the end of Don't You Want To Share The Guilt? and in the beginning of Mansion Song. Forgot about the other moments if there are some). She also swears a lot. Did she do that on the first album as well? Not that I noticed ...

Gwyneth...
600 pounds for those shoes! :o I just realized that the shoes read LOVE  The interview is great, thanks for finding it, Mich! :) @ Nicole Well, I might have an 'evil tongue' but Scarlett is just that way. :P

Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
The length of his hair is just perfect! :cheesy: :bomb: (I don't come often here but I just couldn't avoid the new photos. Miss the boys so much!)
