I think he means that this album just really expands on rythms and they are using diferent instruments and the sound is maybe a little more complex as far as melody than some of the previous albums, where Chris's voice was the central part of the song (ex. The Scientist) but whatever thats just i got from the quote. And i think they all share the leadership but Chris is the one who has the most out going personality so we always hear about him being the leader..
