Ok so you cant be a coldplay fan and step into the sacred lounge? this is a coldplay fansite what do you expect?????????? Its stranger to me that non coldplay fans even come on this website. I totally reject the term fangirl/fanboy btw. Anyway, alot of people here seem to think this is a personal sort of question, thats totally fine, i just wonder why people think that? My view is that there is nothing once we are dead, just as there is nothing before we are born, I think there are two ways of interpreting the question "what is the meaning of life" one being on a personal level, to which my answer would be whatever makes you happy, the other would be on much larger scale, "what is the purpose of life" to which i would answer, there isnt one, there is no guiding hand, there is no aim or goal, just the desire to survive which is of course because of genes and evolution. I think there is no evidence for god and thus it should not be believed. I like the quote by Carl Sagan, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". So although i would not commit to saying "there is certainly no god" i think it is extremely unlikey. My view on politics is that equality should be at the heart of everything. I consider myself a humanist, but not on the left, maybe somewhere in the middle because i believe criminals should get tougher punishments, certainly in the UK. Well thats my view, my opinions are not set in stone, i am always open to change if a better idea comes along.

I think if i were oppressed im my own country and treated like a second class citizen that was ruining my quality of like i would want to stop that happening, if murder was the only way then so be it, Id rather that than watch my family and everyone around me be degraded and bullied.

lol im sorry, i cant get back on track because i dont know enough about the subject. I know that the SA government favoured white people and was guilty of racism so I have no sympathy for them, as for him being a terrorist I think if it happened the other way round in the UK/USA then we would support another mandela. Again im totally ignorant of the actual event, i dont even know if he went against the government for racism, but you've inspired me to educate myself.

........do you have inside information? if not then that's a ridiculous statement. I dont know much about the corruptness of the government but im sure its was about a million times worse that the blair/bush government, and just for the record the wars were certainly not illlegal, Sadam was the one that broke international law. The UK & USA should be proud of the liberation of Iraq, now they can vote people into power, obviously there was an awful human cost but Sadam had inflicted much more on his own people and the Kurds, (the largest ethnic group to have no homeland) Sorry to change the subject slightly but i had to express it.

After reading the thread on drugs i have decided to explore some even deeper questions, Im in a thinking mood. I want to get other peoples opinions and just get some general kind of debate going. Question 1. Is there a God? Question 2. What is the meaning of life? Question 3. Left, middle or right wing politics? I realise these questions are nothing new but I think they are still relevant. Ill give my views later.

the best thing is its good for you! and yeh grapes are definately up there, im allergic to most fruits, especially apples so my choice is rather limited.

Almost everyone i know says im good looking, my relatives would mention it to me throughout my childhood and as i grew up. they still do. I really think it has deeply affected me for the worse, I now feel so insecure about my appearance that sometimes i find it hard to leave the house. I feel like i have to look perfect at all times but it is totally unachievable so I choose to stay away. Also I cant stand looking at myself in a mirror. My doctor said im the type of person that can recieve 99 complements and 1 criticism and be upset, i guess she's right but I dont notice the complements.

I dont think so no. There are enough people hooked on smoking and alcohol as it is, imagine what would happen if people suddenly were allowed to take hardcore, mind altering drugs? at least smoking still allows people to function on a day to day basis, Its sad to say but the public cannot be trusted because of the majority of people with no self control. There would be many more drug related deaths also, people thinking they can fly and jumping off buildings because it would be freely available to everyone.

dont you think its increadible that the moon just happens to appear the exact same size as the sun when we have an eclipse? without that we wouldnt be able to see the corona of the sun. Its just the most extreme odds ever!
