ok two things, I dont see how a message has a "space" vibe? i can understand that the rest of the album does but a message? I thought by space vibe you meant less instruments and more emptiness like chris says on the intro of the live leak video? Anyway....I think a message stands out on X&Y because of that very reason, its emptier and that is the classic coldplay sound. Its a fantastic song, i love the drums, the rhythm, the melody, everything.

I have to admit i have cried after songs like see you soon, and also upon hearing a new coldplay album for the first time because its finally here...Also how to disapear completely by radiohead seems to catch me off guard sometimes. Im not much of a crier but some things i have no control over.

I dont understand how "overplaying" can make you dislike a song, I must have listened to every coldplay songs hundreds or thousands of times, especially clocks, if it came on the radio i would turn the volume up and start singing along, I mean unless you are in guantanamo bay i dont see how it can put u off a song?

im a fan of Jon, its just a shame than alot of people still think of coldplay as he did before he played with them, as being not that good.

I dont hate you, that would be ridiculous. I just dont know what you expect from a "coldplay" fan site. i wouldnt go onto a radiohead fan site and say, "hey radiohead are...ok but coldplay are sooo much better" this website is really for coldplay fans to discuss their admiration of coldplay. that being said i think its good to talk about other bands but the whole radiohead/u2 vs coldplay is really tiresome, i have to put up with it on youtube all the time and its annoying that its even on a coldplay fansite. Ive been listening to alot of radiohead recently and they are very mediocre.....SEE ITS ANNOYING!, that was a joke, i have been listening to them a hell of a lot, hail to the thief is increadible

Where are all the actual coldplay fans? these forums tend to be full of people that only sort of like coldplay? well thats my recent experience anyway... to answer your point ( i wont give an irrelevant answer about how coldplay let me discover "better" bands) Just before xmas i had been having a really bad time, Pressures from work, Pressures from home and crazy pressure in my personal life, and it made me feel like giving up on life, i attemped suicide, got arrested after the police chased me with helicopters etc and was taken to hospital where i was detained for 24hrs. it was a very unpleasant experience. Coldplay didnt stop me making that attempt but their music helped me afterwards. Listening to the powerful ending of politik is quite life affirming and little things like this slowly build me back up. Also i sort of would tend to echo the point you made about that girl who wanted to live for coldplays music, i suppose i feel like that, even if it does mean im a total loser. Anyway, my point is coldplays music can act like a strong dose of hope in dark situations. It was certainly more of a help for me than the after treatment i receiced lol.
